@nilsdoen: Not at all. it's worth it to play this game just to hunt monsters and blow dudes into chunks with your powers. Something you will never do in Destiny.
@nilsdoen: I gotta disagree about it not being a AAA experience. The art direction is one of the best things about this game (coming from a professional artist , subjective opinion I know). The environments are often stunning and the variety and detail of the NPCs and gear is quite good as these games go. The vibe is like playing a B-movie in the best possible way and I'm so glad they didn't PG the shit out of it like the uber-polished Destiny. They absolutely nailed the gameplay loop with that incredibly visceral and highly stylized combat. Dudes exploding, turning into ash , getting blown in half by shotgun blast, etc. If you are a fan of chunky gibs , you're in for a real treat!
@garywood69: I would consider it in bad taste to make light of any man that died violently in combat. Especially if that man was drafted or compelled to fight a war out of a sense of duty, no matter how misplaced. Of course, Battlefield 1 is in no way an accurate representation of WW1. It's not a period drama, it's historical fiction. I don't see a problem with laughing at polygonal people. I think those that take issue with it could be combat veterans like myself, imagining what it'd be like if EA was making light of a game based on recent conflicts, perhaps by poking fun at the likeness of an American soldier who was blown up by an IED, or a gunner being decapitated in a Humvee rollover. It can hit close to home for some of us. For me, as much as I may deem it in poor taste to create ads of uniformed men burning to death, captioned with a disrespectful attempt at humor, I don't think I'd give it much thought. I certainly wouldn't waste my breath complaining.
@ronno: Any British actor with the right chops should get this role. James Bond is a man, but I don't see why he couldn't be a Black-British dude if the persona is right. Idris Elba would make a worthy Bond, I would think. Personally, I'd prefer Michael Fassbender.
