@hosedandhappy: No excuse to skip it. Marketing is an investment. You either spend the money on marketing with a chance at ROI, or you launch a game nobody knows about and shut it all down days later ...

I will never understand developers of multiplayer or MMO games skipping marketing efforts in their games.
