Well, what should I say... it ain't a big deal at all, lot's of DS lites... too much DS lites, too many 360s and the rest was a mixture of PSP, PC and hardware from last session. Not only PS3 was a no show to a certain point of view, also many big bang games like UT2007 or Gears Of Wars were not playable, just WDMs.
Only real highlight was Splinter Cell Double Agent, a Stranglehold real time demonstration, the PS3 console it self. Everything else was ither already available as PC demo, like dark messiah or that comby western or it was already old coffe.

My sister and Sonic, well the Sega booth was... not offering any real block buster games for testing, but at least I could see that VF5 was still having some heavy texture flickering issuess in a big WMV

The nintendo booth, well, if you love DS then this was heaven, but I was not able to fnd any Wii. But still, a great atmosphere here. Big N did a nice job.

Wow, didn't know that you get a free game if you pre order it in time... actually I already pre ordered in June at a famous media store just around the corner, but I didn't wanted to brag around, like... ' look at me I, pre ordered and you not muhahaha...' in fact I had some tough hard time since Xmas... some... special work to do... you know...
Nevertheless, by sheer coincidence I got to know that those official pre orders are going to include a free game, not only this huge media store company but Amazon as well and some others are doing this together with Sony.
Don't know if it will be the same in US, but it seems that Sony is aware of the price issues and I think about 500 euros to 540 euros (depends on final game prices) is a good price for the 60GB version now(without game)´
Would be interesting to see what will happen to those consoles which will be sold without being pre ordered, seems that camping isn't a good plan any longer!!! Or will every console have a game as a free gift
oh... almost forgot... I will get Resistance: Fall of Man as a free game(if ready for launch), hope it will be a good game.
Almost took Lair but still there isn't enough info about this game and factor 5 isn't that famous (just a handful of good Star Wars shooters), and really, who wants to take the ' giant enemy grabs with mass destruction game '( Genji 2 ) or this stupid card game(Phil: '' you may applaud now '' !!!)
Maybe pre ordering at Toy's R Us would have been better because you can choose from any launch title you want, no matter if Sony production or not.... but being one of the first in line is more important for me... and I didn't know that they will have free games back in June... and seriously which man would go to a baby kids shop to pre order a ' PC '... :wink:

OK, now that E3 is over and people have calmed down (because of price?!), let's see what games from last year E3 are no fakes or which games still remain fake or cgi.
First of all, the mother of all cgi vs real time battle: KILLZONE Nothing has been shown at this years E3, nor any news... currently Guerrillia claims that it was a cgi based on real time.... sure... and my name is Kazuya Mishima... sure 1:0 against Sony
Motorstorm, nice thrilling fantastic demonstration... the one from E3 05... now we have some real time vids and screen(no direct feed screens so far...???? suspicious) and without being biased or something... less detailes, blurry textures,... less detailes,... less polygones,... oh and have i forgot... less detailes and blurry textures... OK it's a beta version but... hey, they already had enough detailed sharp material for that cgi video, so where is it for the real time presentation then...???? 2:0 against Sony
Heavenly Sword: It looks a bit better, more characters, sharper, more details, and that king, wow great detailed face... playable cgi movie??? no, it's real time, great real time!! 2:1 Sony getting closer
Tekken 6 ... oh my god ,.. OK it was obvious that this E3 05 video was cgi, but still some reporters thought that it might have been... ...come on, this one is out of the chart, as it was cgi from the beginning.. and the real time is just blurgggh
FFVII techdemo/white engine : it was real time at E3 05 and SE has shown some short real time scenes from this new game engine in FFXIII as well... it's OK, no prob here, game's looking good, this new white engine works in real time. 2:2
MGS4: It was never a NON real time... no need to discuss the best looking PS3 game but anyway it even doesn't belong to E3 05
Resistance: Fall of man: That E3 05 trailer was pre rendered, no doubt, but it was based on real time and now E3 06 has demonstrated it in real time, it even looks better, better Alien models, more detailed, sharp and smooth, nice job.Those blokes from motorstorm can learn something from them!! Sony gets the lead 3:2
Stranglehold...:E3 05 demo... ...sure... that was real time NO way... this game marks one of the worst graphics for PS3 so far. 3:3
Liar: difficult, at GDC people claim that it was real time and according to the normal map quality and jaggies it seems to be real time but were is it then... draw
Gundam: it was proven that the trailer at E3 05 is able to run on early dev kit in real time... at 5 to 10 fps earlier, but at E3 06 the game has lost some of it's sharpness and overall high quality detailed ambient, but those are the same poly models!!!! what else can you expect from bandai
Fatal Inertia: was it a E3 05...??? don't know... anyway... it might have been pre rendered once, but based on real time, always, having the same quality(almost) in ingame!!! no prob here 4:3 for Sony
F1 game: I know F1 mods for already two year old racing games which have sharper textures, and higher poly models If you don't believe, just ask 4:4
Gran Tourismo HD/Vision/ 5??: that's a PS2 game, no comment on this one Warhawk: very important, very promising game, just those hundreds of planes are still missing but everything else has been even improved!!! 5:4
AC4(those mechs): it was always real time, not sure if it was present at this years E3 but yes it was always real(and not that good looking)
Unreal Tournament 2007: There is MGS4 and there is UT07, which one looks better?? Now, even civilians may play it in real time!! 6:4
Several E3 06 no shows: Ni HO: definitely cgi, was never real at all; Dynasty Warriors: it was real time but now we will have to wait for TGS; Killing Day: it looked like real time at E3 05 but now it has been canceled anyway; Fight Night: it was real time... but it's now gone... as well as RE5(i doubt that this was real time... but MGS4 looks the same?!) DMC4: there is currently NO media at all, no vids, no screens, the cgi movie was just a... cgi movie, a promo vid I think those were most or all of the games presented at E3 05 press conference.
Please say if something is missing.
Currently it's a 6:4. 6 games have achieved it's developers aim, even surpassed it, but their aims weren't so high and ambitious like Killzone for example which belongs to those 4 games which were definitely fake at E3 05. On the other side, we have some great new games, real time of course which rock: fro this years E3
WarDevil: enigma/ Heavy Rain/ Unnamed Naughty Dog game/ Assassin's Creed and some EA sports games
here is my own personal opinion on the current situation
wow,... the PS3 forum is full of price and dissapointment threads,... ...I already have a headache from all those blokes complaining about the same things all the time... ...will quit this forum for a while, till those people get real again
the real reason i am writing is, I want to discuss the E3 Sony pressence with bit.
In my opinion, Sony did a good job, their press con was far from a hype and action enertainment show like nintendos manifest of communism(remember how it started),but Sony made some fundamental mistakes:
really great games where not mentioned, especially multiplatform games (like 360 did), while the games, they showed, sucked (mainly because of lack of develpment time). it seemed to me that they where shy... but why?
no matter what, Sony convinced me to wait for PS3:
Hard Rain, MGS4, WarDevil Enigma, FFXIII and UT07, especially Hard Rain was great, but why did they not showed this game(tech demo?) at the press con???? they could hyped it like the molina tech demo instead of stupid GT HD
But, the problem is, what if I am the only one(slightly exagerated) who doesn't need hyping to be convinced of a product:
I mean if, PS3 fails in console sales, it will also loose it's supporters developers, third parties and mainly it's games!!! And why do I fear this, because currently the PS3 is in some sort of self fullfilling provecy produced by fanboys from both sides. Yes also from the Sony fan block, with all their cmplains about price and a lame show:
everybody else, especially fan boys from both sides(MS is teaming up with big N) believe that Sony not just failed in entertaining and hyping it's console but also in delivering promised performance.
But this last argument is not true, watch Heavy Rain, MGS4, real time excerpt from FFXIII teaser... but still Sony did not setisfy with some trivial entertaining action and some hyping(lame conference), now everyone is dissapointed which might be the beginning of the end.(say analysts)
Still this does not need to be THE END, TGS is still to come, and I know that Sony always prefered TGS instead of E3 when it's about doing some promotion and hyping stuff, it's their main sales market!!!

Here it is, the top 10 of games i ever played, across several platforms, from Neo Geo to NES and finally to the queen of consoles the PS2. Let's start with the last position, I will comment on each entry so it will be interesting and maybe even funny.
(there will be also other top ten rankings in the near future related to games)
10. Super Mario Land(Game boy, the old grey/now yellow brick!!)Yap that's it, my first video game, it's now almost 15 years ago, that it all started, and now I own several consoles, emulators and more then 300 games...(never played through all of them though
9. Mario 64(N64 that a*** damn console) ... so the N64 does have good games, didn't know that. I first saw that game on a import console in a coffee shop( :) ) before the release in europe. Don't know maybe it was the smell! or, or anything else but that game was from the first moment highly addictive!! :)

8. Tekken Tag Tournament(PS2), yeha man, my first real fighting game(ok I played almost all Street Fighters and Mortal Combats before but, no this is really the true thing) This was my first PS2 game, got it at launch day, and this game helped me to find my true identity and totally rebuiled my character from a stuborn teenager to a strong proudly, individual man(am I insane or what.. :P ). Yap I do like that Kaz Mishima character(but I am not gay), one HELL of bad a*
7. Metal Slug X(NG). One of my first neo geo games, shi* what a hell of good funny parody of everything I love so much when it's about action games. Oh yeah and those nazi imitations are wonderful, especially killing them and all that blood, mhhhm lovley sweet graphics, I LIKE THAT
6. GT3(PS2), do I have to say anything, or maybe TOYOTA GT1, one of the most beautiful cars every made. ok now you would ask, what about GT4, ?? it's the same game but just more cars, those 300!!!! hours of driving where done with GT3 not GT4!!!!!!!
5. Final Fantasy 8(PSone and then on PS2 with optimization) actually I hate that game, confusing story, to many battles and it's too big, I couldn't research the whole planet because it's too big. BUT actually my older sister(now she's a doctor, just made her diplom!)loves RPG and I do aswell, and at that time she fall in love with a man who looked like Squall, so... women you now..., I had to play it,I was FORCED to play it, I was doomed to play it. Actually she is now going to marry that Squall clone...
4. LUFIA 2(SNES) Hmmmmm, sorry got a tear in my eye....
My first RPG(got it in 1996, ok FF1 to 6 and others where allready released but this was before my import aera!!!)OK i tested FF1 several years before but not played it...
OK my first RPG, played it with my sister(always playing RPG with Dr. sister), I was fighting and she was... watching... This game tought me one important rule, video games can be more then just toys, they can be storys like you can find them in books or movies!! A wonderful story

MGS3,(PS2) quite a young game but... it showed me that graphics are not everything, because I allready owned my high end PC playing games like doom3 HL2 and Far Cry(all are having better graphics, much better) But PS2 is the killer app, no matter what graphics, PS2 owns them all It's all about the game play... And MGS3 with it's sixtiys atmosphere, the russians, communism, the cold war, and espionage is a wonderful lovestory AND a story about a mother and her son as well!!! (tears) Ahhhh that's good for the soule, I can relax when playing that game, no more killing, no more fast food action just listennig to music of trees and birds...

Today, on the 5 of December 2005, I have finally decided to wait for the Playstation 3 Entertainment System instead of buying the Xbox360 or upgrading my PC.
This will also mark the ending of one of my own eras, the PC era, after 2 and half year of excessive PC gaming I will left most or even all of those PC game communitiys, won't buy any new PC games and won't track any new PC games, to be ready for the future of entertainment.
