I've played alot of Syphon filter online these last days. I've actually ranked up from R0 to R2 (pro's might think that's not much). I've played every single map several times and know them well.

One thing i've noticed during my online play, is that noobs actually are much better players then pro's. The only thing professionals do is to place anti-personnel mines and laser trip mines near the enemy's spawn. The result of that is that one or more from the enemy team get's blown up once they leave the spawn area or spawn room.

Even on Refinery that could have been really good, there is some kinda camping spot very close to the enemy spawn. The result of that is one large blood bath once you leave the "safe" spawn room....

But however there is one exeption: Canyon outpost! This is a map where laser mine not is used all the time! They are used sometimes, but that is most likely to defend your own spawn area.

Conclusion: Professionals does only go for the kills. No matter how many times you tell them, they will still place mines on annoying places...

Noobs are the ones that actually can play! They do almost never use mines, they prefer to make some awesome and exiting shootouts and ambushes.
