A game like Mario Odyssey shouldn’t need a “switch 2 edition” the game has a dynamic resolution, so the game should run at highest resolution without any frame drops due to the power increase of the new console. Seeing an area like New Donk City simply running at top res without any frame hiccups will feel like a massive upgrade without needing to tweak anything or needing to “upgrade” anything.
Ellie trying to redeem herself after the mess she left would seem to be a story worth telling. Maybe have her turn herself in to FEDRA because she is immune only find out that FEDRA has no intention on finding a cure would be interesting. Having her try to fight her way out of FEDRA custody would at least lend itself to some brutal combat scenarios.
If the writers want to tell new stories, instead of re-imagining the story of TLOU 2, the writers should explore the 20 year gap between the initial outbreak and the events of TLOU 1. There is 20 years of chaos that we only get to learn about through notes and allusions during conversations. Take the creative liberty during the time period we haven’t seen instead of changing the story we already know.
