I think it is to be expected that some units would have faults when you're talking a million+ units. It'll be interesting to see figures in a few months as to what % we're talking about that are encountering the 'blue light of death' vs. last gen's 360 rrod.
That said, I'm not buying into the new generation of consoles until at least a year has passed - far too much initial investment since I already have a reasonable gaming PC. That's just me though. :)
I'm mostly interested in using it as a low power (and low noise) device for streaming games down to the living room. Pretty much the only appeal of consoles for me is that I can play them in the comfort of the living room. And the only barrier for me to not play PC games in the living room is lugging the case around the house every time I fancy a change. This potentially alleviates both of those problems.
Congrats to Julie on her new position. I liked what she did with Office, though I know a lot of people don't agree. She's been a part of the company for a long time, and has had success with spearheading product launches in the past. Sounds like a decent person for the job.
