Willy105, he will be missed.

tis a sad day when a Gamespot legend, and if anyone was that it is willy. He put more effort into this place in a day than I did in my entire time here. When the greats get banned it is a sad, sad day. Here's to you Willy.

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack

Well I'm back and it's awesome. So what's happened these three weeks, I've moved into college, gotten used to it and love it. Classes aren't bad at all. For those who have been paying attention I finally got online with no thanks to Tech Support. They told me after two and a half weeks that I had an unfixable registry error and would have to buy a new OS (since I don't have the disk). Luckily instead of paying for another copy of Vista they got Windows 7 early and I am now running it. 7 is seriously great. I've had zero problems love the changes they've made. No real complaints here. On the gaming note I now have part ownership of an Xbox 360 (a friend sold us his at a huge discount). I've beat Halo 3, half of Gears of War 2 (before deciding it was stupid and quitting) unlocked all characters in SF4, but am still terrible, and about a third of Bioshock. Review wise Halo was fun I'd give it about an 8.7, Gears 2 a 5.9, SF 4 a 8.6, Biochock (so far) 9.3. Also played FFTA2 and am enjoying it, not very far yet but it's a fun game with as little story as possible. Also got hooked on Sins of a Solar Empire again. So yeah it's great to be back I will probably not check all the blogs I missed so sorry, and thanks to the NDU for electing me as an officer.

Fighting the war for my interwebs

So at earliest I can get my comp hooked up next Sunday, my activity will take a slight dip at most from previous levels once I get back on. Also the problem apparently stems from the hard drive partition that I've been complaining about. Well hopefully see you Sunday.

Cowboy Bebop, and Gundam Wing, and District 9, and Inglorious Basterds.

First off late night blogging for the win. Now for some actual substance. Inglorious Basterds is a fun movie. Well made with some very good performances, particularity by the actor playing Landa. Wan't my favorite movie of all time but its a good movie. Also Hugo Stiglitz is a giant among men. District 9 is my favorite movie of the year so far, passing Star Trek. Very solid movie with no big name actors at all. Only complaint is when did they take the science our of my sci-fi. Star Trek had that problem too. It's too pervasive these days. Finished watching Gundam Wing and I must say it lived up to my nostalgic memories. Some bits of dialogue are painfully bad but for the most part it holds up well. And Duo Maxwell is awesome, still. Just started Cowboy Bebop, and I love it. Just finished the first episode hope to get two more in before conking out for the night. Thanks to all the people who pointed this awesome show out to me.

Gencon

I got free passes to Gencon late Friday (which is a pity as they were for all four days and it started Thursday) but I got to go to my first convention. For those that don't know Gencon is a gaming convention held in Indianapolis. When I say gaming I mean table top RPG's, and Trading card games mostly. Though I did get to play an awesome demo for Dragon Age Origins (and a much less awesome demo of Dante's Inferno). On the downside parking cost $28 between the two days. On the upside I got about $40 worth of free stuff. Got two starter deck of Magic the Gathering for free, and some other not as nice goodies for free. Got to play battletech (mechwarrior 4 in a cockpit setup) and kicked ass. Got to see all the cosplayers and such and had an all in all great time.

Knights in the nightmare and Steam indie deal

Well I am back with 11 new games to try. First off my friend and I are letting the other try Devil Survivor and Knights in the nightmare, so I am excited for that. Two Steam rocks my world giving me World of Goo and Braid at a discount with 8 other games thrown in for free (or at least that is how I'm looking at it). Only problem is I have no harddrive space thanks to a stupid previous owner of my computer (partitioned the hard drive in half) so I'll have to uninstall Empire Total War (as much as I love it) to play them.

Possible inactivity and Devil Survivor

I do not know if I will have internet connection or not and last time I was unsure it resulted in well... let's just say I'm not sure that Brunobrs is going to let me forget that one for a while. So yeah don't expect me to be on. As for Devil Survivor, great game gives TWEWY a run for its money as top DS RPG. I love the story and the well done bracnhing storyline. Very well made game, I just wish SPRG's actually involved the S part (other than Fire Emblem).

New purchases and a small update

I broke down and bought Empire: Total War and smt Devil Survivor. On Empire I had been telling myself I was going to wait for the price drop but I gave into it after my 15 play through of the demo. As for devil survivor I've been on a RPG craze lately, replaying Golden Sun 1 & 2, Sonny 2 (which is in my opinion the best flash game ever created), most of TWEWY, and was thinking about opening the Pandora's box that is pokemon again (before the gold/ silver remake that is) so I went out thinking I was going to get Fallout 3, before taking the more wallet friendly approach and getting devil survivor. As for the life update I get to take my lit class (science fiction, and fantasy, in the western tradition) after all.
