Huh. And here I thought everyone who was going to pick up Blops II would get it on release day or for Christmas. Don't they know it's gonna be outdated in 7 months?

... and DS3 definetly deserves it. Great game and the Awakened DLC harks back to what made the original two so much more than a standard TPS.

Not surprised if it's true. Trying to appeal to CoD fanboys never works and they alienated fans of the original two games by making it so action-focused. The microtransactions are just adding insult to injury.

That being said... it's kind of early to shelf the series. 3 has only been out for a month. Did EA earnestly believe they could sell 5 million copies within one month? ... then again, it's probably all used sales after that, and the dev/publisher receives no income from that...

Miniature, gaming-only PC by Valve. Ooh, ahh. And Infinity Ward is developing a game on it.

Is it an FPS? I bet it is. Not interested.

@DarkBloodPrince In their inital appearance(s), yeah, but after they get thrown into the Midnight Channel it shapes itself according to that person's repressed thoughts and emotions.

@frozenux Indeed; personally I'd like to see a game that deals with personality disorders. Maybe someday...

@maitkarro I'm not sure I could handle a serious (I mean really serious) game for a while. Spec Ops: The Line kind of shook me.

@Shanks_D_Chop I never said it didn't interest me. I read the whole article, I just disagree with Carolyn's assessment. However, I can understand why some people might be frustrated with her constant "opinion articles" on the issue(s).

There is a place for such "opinion articles." It's called a blog. How many times must I reiterate this?

@Shanks_D_Chop I never said it didn't belong here; it's just not actually news, it's a subjective assessment of two characters' sexuality in a game, complex as they may be. It's not -news-. It's -opinion-. That goes in a -blog-.

As for what's "important" to gaming... well, that would be, you know, news on gaming. Like a review for an upcoming game, somthing Microsoft is doing with the new Xbox, etc. Not countless streams of Cliffy B's opinions or Carolyn's assessment of P4 characters.

@Shanks_D_Chop @aloufika @blackrunie See the thing is, when you see something like this on the main page it's presented as a factual article. This is presented as important. It really isn't - well, it is, but we've heard about it countless times before and as I stated this belongs in a blog, not a front-page news story.

Furthermore Carolyn's assessment of Kanji and Naoto's characters is waaaaaay skewed to people who actually paid attention to them as people and not just objects to express homosexual/transgender issues.
