is it just me or are games based on animes/mangas; just action heavy beat 'em ups?

yeh it is a while since the whole anti-anime/manga/game law shwack; but could this not point out that japan does not need new laws and bills. instead a complete review and rewrite of the current laws? such as the age of consent; etc; etc.

am i missing something or are parents these days not able to be blamed? there was a study done recently that has a sample group of 166 persons (7yo to 15yo); on the effect of violent video games on children. are we so bored as a society that we are still producing reports like this?
can we not evolve beyond this need for documents like this and accept that parenting/educating play key roles in the development of a child? and improve the effect both of these have on our children.

same basis can be applied to literature/audio and alternate visual sources.
