Days away...

Finally...I've saved enough for a PS3. I have literally been shaking for the last few days, I'm so excited. What a perfect time to upgrade too, with the arrival of Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, etc. I'm thinking that my first purchase will have to be GTA4, though. 4 days and counting!!

This is rough.

Oh, man. I still don't have a new system. Saving up didn't quite work out the way I though it would. I'm glad I didn't just go nuts and get a 360 though. I'm thinking with all the problems it's been having, and with all the studios dropping HD DVDs and going with Blu-ray, I might have to get a PS3 in a couple months. I've always been a playstation guy anyways.

Saving for a 360

I'll soon have a new job, it will be a new year, and I think it's about time to upgrade to a new system. Oh sweet 360, when will you be mine? I cannot wait. I figure it will take me at least 3 months to save up for one, depending if I get any gift cards for the holidays. Can I wait that long? I don't know.

New Christmas Games

Well, no one bought me any games this year (sigh), so I had to go out and buy them myself. First of all, Sims 2: Eh, it's okay. I played the demo and thought it was pretty interesting, so I decided to go out and buy it. I really wish I would've rented it first. Perhaps I should actually pay attention to the ratings and comments that all of the members here post before I buy anything. On the other hand, I haven't really delved too deeply into it because... I also bought Resident Evil 4 and HOLY CRAP!!! is it ever awesome. It took me roughly 3 days to finish the main game and I'm just now starting the bonus missions. I cannot say enough good things about it. Anyway, enough of my rants. I had a great holiday season and I hope everyone else reading this did as well. Until next time... Later, Greg

Just Beat NFL Street

Finally! I gave up a long time ago because I was stupid with the team I created and couldn't beat the last region. With the team I made a few weeks ago, I beat everyone, including the NFL Legends on the first try. How dissapointing was the ending, though. You get to pick a legend to be on your team, but there are no bonus games or anything. Just "congratulations, you are truly a legend". Aw gee thanks. Its a so-so game. And it doesn't look like they've made any improvements in the second installment. Later, Greg

Recently Rented Games

So, I just rented Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 and Enter the Matrix. THPS3 is freakin' sweet! My thumb hurts so bad I had to quit and go online for awhile. It's a pretty simple game, but damn addictive and lots of fun. Enter the Matrix however is another story. I'm gonna go ahead and say "Lamest Game Ever". The plot is dull, as is the gameplay. The driving portions of the game are incredibly frustrating since the interior of the car and the driver's head take up way too much of the screen. Plus the graphics are way crappy. The game is way too easy and just plain boring. I want my $6.50 back.

Red Dead Cont.

I've finally unlocked the hard and bounty hunter difficulty levels on Red Dead, and realized that they completely suck. Hard level is fine and everything, but the bounty hunter is way too hard. After about 5 times trying to pass the first level where you can only shoot enemies in the head, I got bored and quit. However, I do think the game is worth something. It really didn't get good reviews, and understandably, considering the plot is completely erratic and not really that interesting, but the showdown game is totally cool. By yourself, with, or against other people, it's quite a lot of fun on its own. Later, Greg

Red Dead Revolver

Finally!!!!!!!!! I beat Red Dead Revolver. Man, is this game tough. I could never get past all the bosses at the Governor's mansion. I just sat down tonight and figured, "Hey, I haven't played this game in awhile. What the heck. I'll do a couple levels." and ended up playing the entire game. It is now 4:48 am and I'm going to bed.
