I think personally that pokemon has been around long enough to realise that there are a lot of different types of pokemon players, whether they are into competitive, breeding, just filling up the pokedex, even just the pokemon lore (especially after legends arceus and legends celebi being announced) I just feel like you can make pokemon games for everyone rather than trying to fit it all these different features into one game, have your open world games with new pokemon and features that's fine but I don't see another generation playing for 25 plus years without a little bit more consistency,.. I'm excited for paldea but, I do miss the structure of older games, plus a lot of the 3ds sprites for the pokemon are terrible, (purrloin should not be on 2 legs) Just my opinion
