Back to Blogging....

So I haven't written a blog in a while. I guess I just never felt like it before. Anyway, I decided to clean out my contacts list to just the few people I'd consider friends on GS. *Looks in the Temple's direction* So I'll be writing more here and actually looking at all of you nice people's blogs.

I haven't been playing anything in particular lately. MGS 3 is the most recent game I've played, and I'm not sure how much I'll be playing that since I want to buy the Metal Gear Solid Essentials Collection which has Subsistence, so I'd have to start over. That's really the only game I've played in the last month or so. I'm having another "no motivation" phase. :(

I'm listening to a lot of new stuff as of late. Thrice's new album The Alchemy Index is one thing I just keep listening to. I've also gotten more into rap lately so I've been listening to a lot of Atmosphere, Brother Ali, and The Roots.

Thats about it for me. Just trying to get through this last trimester of Junior High before it's off to the high school. Homework's a b!tch, as always. School aside, however, I've been doing pretty good. I hope everyone else is doing OK. Felix-out!

Wow! It's been awhile!

Whoa! I haven't visited GS in close to a month. My last blog post was in April! The main reason for my absence was the end of the school year and teacher's piling on the homework. Combine that with dance, hanging out with friends, and spending time with family there has been zero time to spend here. But summer's here and that all will change. :D

So first, I have finally killed the beast that is level 20! I guess that must mark something but I'm just glad I passed it.

In the music front I have been listening to the same old stuff I've always loved. There's some new bands in there but it's still mostly metal, punk, alternative, and the occasional rap. The main reason to bring up music is that I will be going to see Rise Against live in July. It's going to be insane and I'm already psyched out for it and it's still over a month away!

Gaming wise I've been playing Guitar Hero 2 still. Besides that I've gotten back to playing FFX, and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Not as much gaming for me recently. I don't know why I guess I just can't devote as much time to them as I used to. I still love games, I just can't get the time.

Right now though I am addicted to the book Angels & Demons by Dan Brown. I read over 100 pages of it yesterday and it's great. I read the Da Vinci Code but this has made me think much more already than the Da Vinci Code. It's a great that I'd suggest to anyone.

So I hope you're all doing okay and that you're enjoying your summers. With that, I take my leave.

My face is unveiled!!

Well, last weekend some freinds and I decided that we would make a skate video. That footage we used as a promo for the full length video we plan to make throughout the summer. It's titled No Skateboarding (you'll see why right away) and it's obviously not the best skating out there but it's pretty decent. Tell me what you guys think! (I'm the one in the green shirt)

Anyway, not much going on for me right now. I'm just waiting for the summer to come when it'll be skating, skating, gaming, and more skating. Hope you all are doing well and that you guys enjoy the video!

What's that you say? Well that's just plain wrong!

What's wrong you ask? The fact that it's 19 degrees F and there's snow on the ground IN APRIL!!!!!! God, I hate the weather, Minnesota sucks. Besides the fact that it's April it's also my Spring Break, there should not be snow on Spring Break. I was supposed to play games and skateboard all week. I can still game but I want to be skating for God Sake! I'll say it again, Minnesota Sucks! [end rant]

So besides my total hatred of the weather right now things actually haven't been that bad. I got to hang out with friends almost every day and got to the skatepark so I could still skate one of the days (although I had to pay to do it :( ) For games I've been playing Guitar Hero 2 A LOT. I'm kinda mad about the 360 players getting all the bonus songs and downloadable content but oh well. I've also been playing Battlefront 2 a lot recently, probably one of my favorite shooters of all time (besides Goldeneye for N64) On the music front I've been getting into Metacore a lot and been listening to bands like Shadows Fall, All That Remains, From First to Last, and a few others. I've also been moving away from Metal (kinda weird, I know) and moving back to listening to punk again.

Well, th-th-th-th that's all folks! *cue Looney Tunes music* :P

Borrowing a Wii!

My friend went on vacation for a week so I get to borrow his Wii! I got 2 controllers with LoZ: TP, Elebits, WarioWare, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, Excite Truck, Wii Sports, and SuperMonkey Ball Banana Blitz. I'll give impressions of them later this week! :D

Snow Day!

After an all day and nght snow storm I have today off of school! That basically means gaming, gaming and more gaming. :D And, since it's a Friday I get a 3 day weekend with absolutely no homework whatsoever! I love Minnesota this week. :P

Today I'll mostly be playing Bully, DQVIII, FFX, and the occasional Guitar Hero 2. Today will be fun.

Other than that I've jsut been up to my normal stuff. School-wise homework still sucks and is leaving little free time but I've recently deigned Sunday's as game days so its no big deal.

I've gotten to probably one of the best plot twists in a manga in history. That would be Death Note and a very important person just died. It was proably the coolest thing ever. If you don't read Deathnote try it now or else. :P

THat's about it for me so hope you're all doing well. Bye.

So much to do, so little time...

It's been almost impossible for me to find time to do anything lately. Balancing school, friends, extra activities, video games, and personal time has been tough these past few weeks. The only thing I've been able to do on Gamespot is post in my unions, the rest I just don't have time to do. Hopefully this streak of too much to do will be over soon.

In other news, I have two rows of emblems now. I don't remeber voting actually, but I must have at some point. I spent all my day on Sunday to stay at home and catch up on games so I got a good 5 hours in on FFX. I finally completed my collection of Rise Against CD's (which is technically only 4 but I now have all of them) Which they are without a doubt my favorite  current band. I haven't been able to play games much except for as said on Sunday.

Finally, I got the Death Note movie! :D I got it yesterday and have yet to watch it, but since it's based on the best manga on the planet I think it'll turn out good.

Happy New Year!

Wow! It's 2007 already, 2006 seemed to have jsut begun. That was a quick year it seemed. ANyway heres to a great 2006 and to an even better 2007. Cheers!

I guess it'll be a white christmas after all...

It's only 3 days until Christmas! :D So first off have a merry christmas!

Last night we finally got snow here in Minnesota! there hasn't been any snow all winter here so I'm actually relieved that it happened sso that there will be snow on Christmas. It just wouldn't feel right without it.

Lately I've been playing Bully and my guitar, a lot. I've been learning a lot on guitar a lot lately, I can now play the songs "Ready to Fall" by Rise Against, "Beast and the Harlot" by Avenged Sevenfold, and "Seek and Destroy" by Metallica. Other than that I've just been waiting for Guitar Hero 2 for Christmas.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone! :D

366 days later....

Yesterday was my one year anniversary of being on GS. (Yeah, I wanted to post yesterday but my timing sucks) A lot has definitely changed since I started, both in terms of my gaming interests and GS itself. For my gaming I have finally changed over from my "@$#% PS2, NINTENDO PWNS ALL" system wars type of attititude to the point of some of my favortie games being for the PS2. I've also been able to talk about games with people who actually know what I'm talking about. (I used to talk about ToS to my friends only to have balnk stares coming back at me) Here, however many people also get in on the conversation.

Also GS has had a lot of changes since I've been here. User videos have been added, the retarded forum interface has been added, Unlimited SaGa has become the biggest inside joke of all time  , and I've also been here for the birth of a new generation in gaming.

Thanks to many people for making the time here worth it. Particularly to the people of the RPG Temple (the best RPG centric union around  ) and to the many friends I have here.

So here's to a fun first year of GS! (Don't drink too much at this celebration Andy)
