No, I didn't pirate any type of media. I finished Like a Dragon: Yakuza Pirates in Hawaii earlier today. Good game, not great. The VO was spotty. At times it seemed like the actors weren't sure what tone to have while doing the line reads. The script was awkward at times. There were things that happened that didn't need to happen. It was annoying how we had to constantly switch from island to island. The combat was good I guess. Sucked having one heat bar but the doppleganger and dark instrument meter made up for it when the fight got too challenging. I only did 21 out of the 31 substories. Wasn't interested in the Sicko Snap finale, or the Minato Girls series or the Dragon Kart races. I thought I read somewhere the game was 15 chapters long. It was only 5 and now I don't really have much to play until Read Dead goes on sale. I'm happy I'm done with that game though. I wanted something quick and that's what I got. I'd like to take a break from LaD games until next year.
I haven't had much time to game lately. I have games where they can all be bite-sized sessions which is perfect right now. Enter the Gungeon, Hades, Deadlock and Warframe, Soulframe. Do a quick run, a mission or two, one match and move on with my life. I finished Pirates and I'm not gonna kill time right now getting into those right now. I will get into Warframe later with my GF for a few hours. I have chores to do tomorrow but after that I don't know what to get into. I'll see what I feel like.
04/24/25: Dropped Enter the Gungeon. Cute, whimsical graphics. Challenging yet dry gameplay. This isn't a bullet heaven. It's truly a bullet hell but you get random guns. I can't do the red dots. They give me anxiety. I should probably get back into Soulframe. Haven't touched it since that first session. I didn't like feeling lost and unsure what to do next. I want to wait for 1.0 but that's way far off. Hades is going as expected so far. I'm enjoying getting back into it. I can't wait to get my first win again. I want it to be with the sword but will I grow bored after multiple tries and switch to another weapon? Now I really wish I could get a sale on RDR1. I've got some vacation time coming up the first week of June. I should probably get it, sale or no sale. GMG has it but that's the Epic store DRM and I want to play it on Steam. What's the Steam sale price gonna be? $10-20 off? Meh, might as well get it on my first day off and make really good progress on it that whole week.
04/28/25: Dropped Deadlock. I like it. It's fascinating. So deep I want to learn it but at the moment it takes a lot of energy and desire out of me. I'll be fine my first match or two. Sure, not doing well but I'm putting forth good effort. I'll quit out for a few hours, come back and I'm absolutely spent. No gas in the proverbial tank to put in the same effort I was a few hours ago. I've watched videos, learned a few things I'm still not improving even a little bit. It's going to be a while till I play with other people so I might as well until wait for the open beta to play with players at my same level. Dropped Soulframe too. Played one more time and the bird lead me to a boss that had a level that was seven times higher than mine and I couldn't do any damage to him. I escaped from the fight and was confused on why it would lead me to an unbeatable boss fight. I summoned the bird and it lead me to the entrance to the same dungeon that boss was in. I tapped out and I'll wait patiently for more progress on that game just like Deadlock. It'll be funny if I pick those games back up the same time since I dropped them at the same time. So now all I have is Hades which is one session on my days off then Warframe twice a week the nights before my day off. GTA is a rare occurence lately. While waiting for RDR1 sale or June 1st, whichever comes first, I'll catch up on my anime. Chainsaw man, DanDaDan, Jujutsu Kaisen and Stone Ocean are on the watchlist.
