They've been doing this for years. When the PS5 was scarce, you couldn't reserve a system w/o buying an additional 2 games or so...

This one has a lot to live up to after Astro Bot; hence why it likely needs more development time...

Only 1 'must have' for me on here and that's Metroid 4. I will likely get the bundle with Mario Kart so that one doesn't count. Not sure about Donkey Kong yet as that's a wait & see as the game seems like it might be pretty shallow. The rest, 'meh'....

Hard to say since the orange buffoon is so unpredictable. However one negative outcome is that this could create artificial demand with everyone scrambling to get a pre-order in especially if Nintendo limits the pre-order allowances (if & when they do go live).

Eh... I'd rather play Astro's Playroom again....at no extra cost which probably has more content than this...

To be fair, they released A LOT of content for MK8 at almost no cost (just part of the subscription service so a good deal). If they're to justify this, they'll have to not charge for additional DLC if there is any. As to what's already included; time will tell. I'll only buy this with the bundle (if prices don't rise again due to tariffs). Otherwise, I'm not into Mario Kart THAT much to spend $80...
