Agree with most in here this is just corporate speak to justify the direction they want to steer the ship. Starfield suffered from antiquated design and a bloat of ho-hum content, not an oversupply of good stuff.
Baulders Gate 3 seems to be a pretty big elephant in the room here. But pay no mind! It doesn’t fit the narrative!
@Ayato_Kamina_1: Eh I'd say Starfield makes a pretty strong argument Todd Howard and senior management seem pretty set on not evolving the product in any meaningful way...to the point that it's become the Bethesda style. Morrowind was near revolutionary when it came out, but Starfield.... was a product that despite the budget and scale demonstrated they're pretty content with just iterating on what they produced in the early 2010s.
update and patch away Bethesda... while you're doing that, I'm gonna keep myself busy by wandering around my giant, empty house and exploring all of it's empty, lifeless rooms.
@esqueejy: I'm not certain the takeaway here was bemoaning the existence of ads, but rather how intrusive these ones are compared to most other major publications, it has echos of a previous era in internet advertising.
