Microsoft Conference (4/10):
I thought the Microsoft conference was pretty bad. Most of the games they showed were not even exclusives (RE5, Fallout 3, FFXIII). But the new Live/Arcade stuff looks pretty cool (Portal, South Park, Geometry Wars 2) Also much of the stuff is "copied" from Nintendo, and Sony, like the avatars, but Microsoft is the king of copy, and the copies are usually better than the originals (cough...Windows, Zune cough...). The Gears of War 2 stuff was pretty cool, but that was about it.
Nintendo Conference (6/10):
Nintendo's press conference was pretty good, especially if you are the casual gamer. Casual gamers rejoice with Wii Sports Resort, Wii Music and Animal Crossing. Very smart move by Nintendo. If you are a hardcore Nintendo gamer, you would probably be extremely pissed right now. No new Zelda, Mario, Metroid, and Star Fox game announced yet. But the Wii, in my opinion, is not a hardcore console, it is a casual gaming console. Also not much DS stuff, other than GTA. I'm sure Nintendo's got something for us hardcore gamers soon.
Sony's Conference (8/10):
Sony's press conference, in my opinion, was the best of the big three in E3. There were games that appealed to the casual gamer (LittleBigPlanet), and many games that appealed to hardcore gamers (God of War III, MAG, Resistance 2). I pretty excited about MAG, a 256-player multiplayer shooter. Also, there were a few PSP new games announced including Resistance, Midnight Club, Loco Roco, and Patapon. I think Sony is about to make a comeback.
