"The ESRB also plans to issue a response to Senator Hassan's recent letter, in which it highlights the new label and website. It also cites its research into how few children are allowed to make in-game purchases without permission (91% are not allowed, it claims) and says the problem is primarily one of awareness."
This is a very easy and simple fix.
Force developers to accept returns on lootboxes.
This will both resolve the issue of unauthorized children purchasing lootboxes, developers abusing and people unhappy.
@boreall: Aye, the car race was a huge stretch, there is absolutely NOTHING even remotely close to it in the book, but hey...
I think you are right in regards to Art3mis, (I have to do this because there will be spoilers)
I can see them adapting the apartment part, also I have a bad feeling the Daisho duo will not be in either. But one of my favorite adaptations to hate is the fact Aech will be a... drumm roll please... are you ready??? A Cyber Orc?!?!?!?!?
Now, if I may make a suggestion, have you ever heard of "Lacero"? If not, it's a must read for fans, it tells the story of Nolan Sorento. on how he became who he is in the book. It was made canon by the author Ernest Cline.
@boreall: I don't think those are major spoilers but I couldn't agree more on the chubby part, the moment my friends and I saw the trailer, the first thing we thought was "wait a minute, wasn't he supposed to be fat?" But hey... I hope there will be an adaptation somehow...
In regards to Ludus I think it's there. I am not sure if you watched the first trailer, it shows him logging into Oasis under a few trees looking at the sky to passing by ships (sounds familiar?)
Now, about the book being made into a movie, this made me SO EXCITED, I mean, cmoon I grew up in the mid 80s early 90s, I would get so happy and excited reference after reference... In a way I see it as a chance to share that with my kids in a popular and awesome way.
The only and mainly let down for me is the fact Spielberg decided to leave himself outside the movie, which was a bummer. He had quite a few references in it.
