I've been having fun with this mode since it makes the game a bit more like Paladins and Battleborn which I always kinda found more fun than Overwatch, even if Overwatch had much better designs and was much more polished.
I know they're just having fun but c'mon. There's probably very little overlap between Oblivion and this game. It also doesn't seem particularly good...
Ghost Trick, Ace Attorney and Hotel Dusk 215 are some must-plays. DS was great for those adventure VN type games. Also, Rhythm Heaven is still my favorite game in the series for the stylus gameplay, and Elite Beat Agents was a banger.
It might be too obvious and casual of a game but I think one of the more iconic DS games is Nintendogs, it got a lot of people onto the platform I think. A personal favorite of mine that is very obscure is Lost Magic. Oh, and FE: Shadow Dragon for being my introduction to the series.
Too many remasters are glorified ports to be honest, it's refreshing to see the word remaster used with humility like this. They could've gone with remake and no one would've batted an eye. Though I feel like a remake should be something that alters what the game is on a more fundamental level. Remaking it from scratch as if you were making the game for the first time with current day technology.
I grabbed a month of Game Pass for Oblivion Remastered, but I ended up playing Clair Obscur instead. I didn't follow the development of this game at all so it just kinda came out of nowhere for me, but it's amazing. I'll buy it properly later.
I'm not stressed out about this, it's just a video game console. I'm waiting for Nintendo's email on May 8 and if I'm unable to secure a pre-order from Nintendo before launch, I'll go wait in front of a store on June 5. If I don't get my bundle then, I'll simply wait for the next opportunity. I want to play Mario Kart World but it's just one game at launch, there's really no rush.
I wonder if that means one is coming soon because if so, it probably wouldn't be made by the Odyssey team since they are making Bananza. Part of me hopes that is the case, as I wasn't a big Odyssey fan and Bananza looks to me like it might be a worse game than that. But the new Mario Kart looks like the best one so far so hopefully a new 3D Mario will be as impressive and smile-inducing as that.
Translation: our game's dead and nobody cares about it, so instead of silently dropping the price to increase sales volume, we're going to pretend we're doing it out of the goodness of our hearts, to get a few brownie points on the internet.
Are people really this easily manipulated? This explains a lot about the world.
@bcroger3: The interesting thing with value when it comes to art is that it's based on what people are willing to pay. You can't really make the argument that a game is overpriced if it ends up selling like hot cakes.
In a literal sense, if a game is "overpriced", it means it won't sell well and the price will drop naturally, regardless of how we personally feel about a game's value.
Nintendo doesn't offer a rental service like Game Pass for their new games, so there are fewer options in how you can access their content, but that's not relevant because it's not the same content anyway. How Xbox chooses to sell their content has no bearing on the value of Nintendo's content.
Basically, the true value of Mario Kart World is yet to be determined, but we can speculate if you want. We can look at how MK8 Deluxe sold 67 million copies while rarely going on sale. With that in mind, it's not unreasonable to assume that Mario Kart World will sell well even at $80. And if it does, then it's not overpriced. Maybe it is for you, and that's fine, but at the end of the day, you can't control what people are willing to spend their money on.
@bcroger3: But that's kind of the problem. If someone wants to play Mario Kart World, they don't have other options. It's like saying a pear is an alternative to an apple. I mean, in an abstract sense, they're both fruits. But if someone is specifically interested in buying an apple, I'm not sure if there's much of a point in trying to sell them a pear. Like, I'm sure they know pears exist already.
