Call of Duty 4 Stats Put Into Perspective

We decided to pull some numbers on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare this past week, which Slothy (one of our coders) so graciously put into a perspective we can all relate to.

As of Jan. 3rd we hit 10,006,606 unique users who have ever played Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on Xbox 360 and have connected to Xbox Live at least once after playing.

That number got us curious as to how many of those 10 Million+users finished the F.N.G. mission, or beat Airplane on Veteran (among other things). Well, it turns out:

71.1%, or 7,111,508 people have completed F.N.G.

That's more than the entire population of Hong Kong (which is 7 Million).

68.8%, or 6,886,509 people have completed Cargo Ship.

This is the same number of adults in the US who were morbidly obese in 2005.

46.5%, or 5,654,643 people have beaten the game on any difficulty.

This is more than the current population of Finland!

2.8%, or 283,632 people have completed Airplane on Veteran difficulty.

The population of Stockton, CA is 280,000.

So if you've beat Airplane on Veteran difficulty, then congratulations. You're in a very elite club. Considering less than 3% of players have been able to do it.

The Four Fast and Furious Films.

The Four 'Fast & Furious' Films.
Current mood: excited
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

"The Fast and the Furious"
roared onto movie screens in 2001, and it made Vin Diesel a household
name (even though it's not the name he was born with). Eight years
later, Vin has returned for another spin in "Fast & Furious"
along with the original's stars Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, and
Jordana Brewster. So here's a look under the hood of the four films
with some inside facts you might not know about how they were put
together. Plus, we have an exclusive racing scene from the movie
introduced by Vin Diesel himself.

1."The Fast and the Furious"

shares its title but not its story with a low-budget movie from 1954.
It was one of the first films produced by B-movie legend Roger Corman,
who also drove a car in one of the movie's race scenes. He got so into
it he forgot his car was supposed to lose, and afterward the
notoriously stingy producer had to pay up the money to reshoot the
scene.

2. "Racer X," a Vibe Magazine article by Kenneth Li, was the inspiration
for the first movie. It delved into the culture of illegal street
racers in New York City and their tricked-out import cars. Dominic
Toretto's line in the movie, "I live my life a quarter mile at a time,"
was something said by Rafael "Ralphy" Estevez, the real-life driver in
the story.

3. Vin Diesel was born Mark Sinclair Vincent,http://l.yimg.com/a/i/mo/pseudoblog_fastandfuriousvin80.jpg
and he adopted his pseudonym
while working as bouncer at a New York City nightclub. He struggled at
first to find work as an actor, and it inspired "Muti-Facial," a short
film he wrote and directed that played at the 1995 Cannes Film
Festival. Steven Spielberg saw his film, which lead to Diesel getting
cast in "Saving Private Ryan."

4.Toretto's Mazda RX7 in the first movie originally had a roll cage, but
it had to be removed so that Vin Diesel could fit in the driver's seat.
Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale and Eminem were all considered for the
part of Brian O'Connor before Paul Walker was cast. Neither Michelle
Rodriguez nor Jordana Brewster had a driver's license when they were
hired.

5. "The Fast and the Furious" was a surprise hit, earning more money its
first weekend than the movie's entire budget. Diesel turned down a role
in the sequel, so Walker was paired with Tyrese Gibson for "2 Fast 2 Furious."
Not only did Walker do some of his own stunt driving in the movie, he did it in his own Nissan Skyline.

6. "Tokyo Drift,"

the third movie in the series, centered on a new set of characters,
though Vin Diesel did appear at the end in a surprise cameo. Some of
the movie was shot in Japan, but most of the racing scenes were filmed
in Los Angeles. The film made less money in the US than the previous
two, but it earned more internationally than the first movie.

7. "Fast & Furious"
finally reunites the four lead actors from the original film eight
years later. Originally, the plan was to make "Toretto," a solo movie
with just Diesel's character, but that was put aside to do the reunion
film. The opening of this movie takes place before "Tokyo Drift"
chronologically, because it features Sung Kang's character, Han, who
died in the third movie.

8. Diesel also directed a 20-minute prequel to "Fast & Furious" called
"Los Bandoleros" that fills in what Dominic has been doing between the
movies. It shows him meeting back up with Michelle Rodriguez's
character in the Dominican Republic. Diesel calls it the "Anti-Fast"
because it doesn't have any car scenes. The short film will be on the
"Fast & Furious" DVD.

9.One of the new faces in "Fast & Furious" is Gal Gadot,http://l.yimg.com/a/i/mo/pseudoblog_fastandfuriousgal80.jpg
who makes
her feature film debut as Gisele. Gadot is a former model who won the
title of Miss Israel in 2004 and competed in the Miss Universe pageant.
She had recently finished her military service before auditioning for
the film, and she appeared in Maxim Magazine's "Women of the Israeli
Army" photo shoot.

10.There's one other big star that's returning for "Fast & Furious":
Toretto's 1970 Dodge Charger. None of the ****c muscle cars from the
first movie were still in working order, so the production had to piece
them together from parts collected from around the country. In this
movie, Dominic also drives a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, a '73 Chevrolet
F-Bomb Camaro, and a '87 Buick Grand National GNX.

The cast has been cagey about saying who would come back for a fifth
movie. There's been talk another installment would have Vin and Paul
racing around Europe. It will all depend on how this one does at the
box office. To get a peek at the action in "Fast & Furious," take a
look at the racing scene below.

Too much PlayStation may cause painful lumps

Called "PlayStation palmar hidradentitis" by the scientists, the skin disorder can cause painful lesions on the palms similar to patches found on the soles of children's feet after taking part in heavy physical activity, they said.

"The tight and continuous grasping of the hand-grips together with repeated pushing of the buttons produce minor but continuous trauma to the (palm) surfaces," Vincent Piguet and colleagues at University Hospitals and Medical School of Geneva reported in the British Journal of Dermatology.

A spokesman for Sony Corp, which makes the PlayStation, noted the study involved one person and said the company had sold hundreds of millions of the consoles since the product was introduced in 1995.

"As with any leisure pursuit there are possible consequences of not following common sense, health advice and guidelines, as can be found within our instruction manuals," Sony spokesman David Wilson said.

"We would not wish to belittle this research and we will study the findings with interest, but this is the first time we have ever heard of a complaint of this nature."

Excessive gaming is already seen as a public health issue, sparking addictive behavior that can lead to a range of psychological problems, the researchers said.

Other researchers have identified acute tendonitis from playing too much of Nintendo Co Ltd's Wii, and now a disorder related to the PlayStation can be added to the list, the team said.

Their study described the case of a 12-year-old girl who attended the Geneva hospital with intensely painful lesions on her hands, which she had developed four weeks earlier. She had no other lesions anywhere else on her body.

After questioning, the doctors discovered that several days prior to the appearance of the lesions the girl had started to play a game on her PlayStation for several hours each day.

The researchers suspected that grasping the console's hand-grips together with repeated pushing of the buttons produced minor but prolonged injury to the palm of the girl's hands, which can be made worse by sweating during a tense game.

The doctors recommended the girl stop playing and she recovered fully after 10 days, the researchers said.

"If you're worried about soreness on your hands when playing a games console, it might be sensible to give your hands a break from time to time, and don't play excessively if your hands are prone to sweating," Nina Goad of the British Association of Dermatologists said in a statement.

BLACKWATER USA SERiES

Part 1. A Pattern Is Emerging !!!

There was a blueprint that caused the fall of the Roman Empire. That pattern is being used the cause America's Fall! Mercenaries were used in place of the regular Roman armies after a long period of time. They were call the Praetorian Guard. There is a private army that has been on the rise and has become more powerful than many nations. It's called Blackwater.
Blackwater executives boast of membership in the sovereign Order of Malta, the Knights of Malta, Both dedicated to global Roman Catholic Rule. My source checked out a book from the Clayton, Missouri library in the 1980's that was about Blobal Government. It was published by the United Nations. It states without apology that the Secretary-General of the U.N. will be the political pontiff and the Pope of Rome would be the religious pontiff in the New World Order. It went so far as to mention three previous popes that brought the Catholic Church anto the New Age!
"Blackwater is a Private army, and it is controlled by one person: Erik Prince, a radical rightwing Roman Catholic mega-millionaire who has served as a major bankroller, not only of President Bush's campaigns, but of a broader Christian-Right Agenda....many of the executives who would later form the core of Price's Blacwater empire are also Catholics. (Blackwater: The Rise Of The Worls Most Powerful Mercenary Army by Jeremy Scahill, xix, 15).
http://files.blog-city.com/files/A05/141484/p/f/blackwatercovrjeremyscahill.jpg
"Erik Prince has been in the thick of this right-wing effort to unite conservative Catholics, Evangelicals, and Neoconservatives in a common Theoconservative Holy War - with Blackwater serving as a sort of armed wing of movement" (Blackwater p. 22).
"Jeremy Scahill skillfully chronicles the birth of America's frightening Praetorian Guard, one that has been unleashed, twenty-five thousand strong, in Irag. These hired guns, with there black uniforms and automatic weapons, appeared on the streets of New Orleans following hurricane Katrina. They operate, at home and abroad, beyond the bounds of legal constraints and are controlled by secretive puppet masters, such as Erik Prince, who have cloase ties to the radical Chatholic right. Should are nation eneter a period of instability following another terrorist attack on American Soil, an economic Collapse (Which has happened), or a series of environmental disaters, the tyranny that groups such as Blackwater impose on others could become the tyranny they impose on us. The rise of this unchecked mercenary force, as Scahill understands could presage the final stage in the collapse of American Democracy" (Chris Hedges, Former New York Times Middle East Burea Chief. Back cover of Blackwater).

Assassin's Creed 2, GRAW 3, and Splinter Cell:Conviction All Due by March 10th !

Last Thanksgiving, French publisher Ubisoft--unburdened by Turkey-gorging duties--issued a robust earnings report for the six months ended September 30, 2008. As part of that earnings release, the company confirmed it was working on a follow-up to Assassin's Creed, which has sold an estimated 5 million units worldwide. Later rumors had the title forgoing the original's medieval Middle Eastern setting for Revolutionary France.

Today, as part of another healthy financial report, Ubisoft referred to Assassin's Creed 2 by name, declaring it will ship sometime during the 12 months ending March 31, 2010. Given the first game was one of Ubisoft's tentpole holiday 2007 titles, a Q4 2009 launch looks likely. Ubisoft's next fiscal year will also see a sequel to the popular high-tech shooter Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, originally released in March 2007.

"Our fiscal year 2009-10 lineup comprises several potential blockbusters with the launch of seven franchises, including Assassin's Creed 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 3, as well as four license-based games including James Cameron's Avatar, three new brands, and a further-enhanced casual-games portfolio," crowed Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. "Although we have to be cautious in light of the current economic environment, we expect Ubisoft to once again be one of the most dynamic and profitable publishers in the games industry in calendar year 2009."

Unfortunately, the excitement generated by the Assassin's Creed 2 and GRAW 3 revelations was tempered somewhat by confirmation of a major delay. I Am Alive, the multiplatform horror-survival game that was the centerpiece of Ubisoft's E3 2008 presentation, "will require further development time and will now bolster the line-up for 2009-10," the company said. Previously, it was expected to arrive for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, this spring .

I AM SO FREAKIN EXCITED RIGHT NOW !!!

IM SO FREAKiN MAD !!!

You know how one dreams about getting there first car ? Well I had that dream once...and when it finally happened, It turned out to be a nightmare !!! I'm 18 as most of you probably know and I have been saving up for my first car for 2-years. And in that timeframe I managed to save up close to $4000.......I would have had more, but I was stupid and bought brand new video games all the time. Then with unexpected bills that came up I was down to $2200.xx. Well, Here is my Story:........

I was riding with my friend on December 22nd (Remember that date) around 10:00PM when we drove past the Courtesy Kia Budget Lot and I noticed a Red Sports car out of the corner of my eye and I thought to myself, "Is that what I think it is ?" and then I saw it again and I yelled, "DUDE !!! THEY HAVE A 3000GT !!!!!" So we pretty much slammed on the breaks and turned around the nearest parking lot, (Which happened to be the porn store for our town..........good thing our parents didnt see us coming out of that parking lot, that would have been fun to explain, haha.) So we get back and look at it and it was definately a Mitsubishi 3000GT ! You dont know how long I have always wanted one of those, I really like import cars like: Honda,Toyota,Mitsubishi,Nissan....etc..... So the next day I had to go to a doctors appointment and when we left the doctors I mentioned the car to my dad so we swung by on oour way home to look at it. We got there at 11:30AM on the dot, lol. I Remember that. And we looked it over it was a 1999 MITSUBISHI 3000GT SL
It was in pretty much perfect condition, The only thing wrong with the Exterior is that There is a tiny little rust spot ontop the Sun roof and a little crack in the front bumper on the drivers side.....not bad......
The Interior Is in excellent condition, All black Leather seats :). Just a few things wrong, not bad though.
Its got a 3.0L V6 24V DOHC with 91,810 Original Miles on it.
Well I bought the Car on December 23rd,2008 for $8,500. They were asking $10,000 for it but I talked them down so After tax, title and everything else I payed $9,700 with no payments till March 29th,2009. It had Brand new tires and the Engine Transmission and Clutch were checked by there mechanics and everything was in perfect condition. Everything was going amazing I was so happy I finally got my first car after waiting for Years, This was my long awaited Christmas present for myself.....But then my dream soon became a nightmare........
I drove it to Show My friend who lives like 4 miles away form me then I came home and went to work, It exactly 2 miles to work from my house so I put 8-Miles on it that day, The Next day was Christmas Eve and I spent the entire day with my Girlfriend and her family and she ended up picking me up and bringing me back home so The car sat in my Driveway the whole day without being drove. The next day Was of course Christmas and I stayed at my house All day and spent it with my family, so yet again It stayed parked in my driveway. The next day I came out to get me Car manual to look something up and the Brand New tires that they said were on the car were Completely FLAT in the back on the Passenger side. First Thing that went wrong. So I had to go to work and it snowed alot and My girlfriend didnt want me to drive cause it was so Icy so it stayed parked yet again in my driveway >:( The next day my Dad and I filled the tire up and took it to a tire store to get it fixed so the 4th day I had it, i had a tire replaced ! So here is where all the fun begins, as you already know I only drove it twice..... On my way to work with my girlfrind we were driving along and my RPM's started acting funny Evertime I shifted gears the RPM's shot up but I wasnt picking up that much speed. Well we got to work and when I pulled in and shut off the engine we sat there talking and then I noticed the smoke comeing from the right side of the car (From my point of view from the driver seat). So I popped the hood and was looking at it and it was coming down from what looked to be the transmission, I was running really close to the time I had to work so i called my dad and gave my gf the keys and asked her to wait for my dad and show him where it was coming from. So I went inside and about a half hour later she came inside work and said he looked at it and said its probably fine and he just left !!! It was smoking I dont think that meens its fine ! He just said take it easy on my way home, This is my third day driving the car and I didnt drive it hard at all. After work we got in the car and started heading home and the RPM's kept doing the same thing but worse this time, All I did was pull out of the parking lot and stop at a red light. When it turned greenI started out and My RPM's jumped to 6, it redlines at 7 !!! So I shifted into 2,3 and about 1/4 mile down the road I was loosing speed and when I hit the little incline on the road I just completely stopped, I couldnt move the car for nothing.........my clutch went out on me.....3rd day driving it around 10:30PM and that was the last time I drove it, December 28th. We ended up calling AAA for a tow truck and instead of calling the tow place in Alliance they called one in canton........I think the lady on the phone that worked there must of been high or just plain retarded. I just had the car towed straight to the dealership and got stuck with a $114 towing bill!!! So on monday, December 29th. we called up there and told them what all happened and they said we appologize we will take care of everything..the next day came, car didnt move, next day same thing..etc.........On the fifth day of me and my dad calling, January 2nd,2009 they finally got to look at the car and within a hour said what it was.....the clutch, the same thing that I told them it was for the past 5-days. Then all the sudden they went back on there word and tried to stick me with a $1200 bill ! I sure wasnt going to pay for that, They said they would take car of it and they Will !!! well after days of calling them and getting the runaround, days turned into weeks and it still hasnt budged from the spot where they put it after they looked at it.......Finally January 13th I called and asked "What the HEck is going onwith my car !" and they said the same thing the keep saying, "Were waiting on the pricing for the part, it a very rare clutch and Mitsubishi wants a little over $800 for it". My gf step dad works at the Advanced Auto right across the street from them and they have the entire Clutch Kit for the exact model and year of my car for $140, So I told the Service Manager Jay about it and made him call up there and then he called me back and said and I quote: "Management is telling me that the customer has to pay for it, but at that price, I will just take care of it for you its not a big deal, and as soon as Tom gets the parts in we will put it in and take care of everything for you" I figured they would go back on there word again so I recorded the whole conversation with the part that I just quoted :-) haha suckers........So they first said after this that they were waiting on the part to get in, Advanced Auto already had the part in. Courtesy Kia was just afraid to tell me they are doing such bad buisness so they arent aloud to buy on credit anymore. They said they dont have the money to do that........its a car lot and they dont have the $140 to buy my part ! Now they are saying they are waiting for the flywheel part and they will put it in for me and I might be looking at 3-more days. Well it is going to be a Month exactly on Friday !!! Today was the final deadline that the manager Todd told me, He said: "I Promise you will have the car tomorrow (This was when I went up there January 19th, Monday), I Promise you will be driving the car tomorrw night. And I said It better be done by tomorrow or else I am sueing you under Missrepresentation under The Ohio Lemon Laws, and I will be doing a class-Action Lawsuit with my boss. (He is going through the same thing with them now)............So here it is January 20th,2009........So here it is 29-Days later and All I have done is been Lied to, Deceived, Got the Run Around, Payed my first months insurence on a car that I only put 20-25 Miles on. Its still completely full of gas from the day I bought it (Which cost me $18 to fill up), It takes premium unleaded. So word of advice, If you are looking for a car DO NOT GO TO COURTESY KIA, THEY ARE NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF CON-ARTISTS !!!!!!!! I'm going up there in the morning to get this straightened out once and for all !

The End Begins: Splinter Cell

And I will Post the stories for each for the next 4-days starting off with Splinter Cell..............

The End Begins: Splinter Cell

DECEMBER 3, 2015
SEA OF OKHOTSK

The worst part of the job, Leon Coltrane had long since decided, was not the part where strangers shot at him on a semi-regular basis. Oh, that part sucked, sure, but it wasn't the worst. Neither were the interrogations, the moments spent hiding while angry men with loaded weapons searched for him, the face-to-face meetings with psychopathic terrorists or even the food at the commissary at Ft. Meade.

No, the worst part was the throbbing headache he got every time he had to spend an hour and a half hanging upside down, trying to disable some tin-pot dictator's security system without touching the floor. The headaches lasted two days, on average, and damned if every single op he got assigned to didn't call for some variation on the old trapeze act that Sam Fisher had made legend.

Privately, Leon suspected that Director Grimsdottir had it in for him. Why else would she keep on assigning him to crap like this – infiltrations of unmanned nuclear-powered lighthouses on Russia's northern shore, hacking a Swedish air defense command outpost from the inside, personally and permanently disabling a Russian listening station, all in the interest of following up on one word in a dead man's communiqué: Snegurochka.

And now this, infiltrating a top-secret Russian research lab hidden on a deep sea drilling platform. One of the smart boys back in Maryland had noticed on satellite imagery that the rig didn't seem to be doing a whole lot of drilling, and even less pumping, and that meant it was very interesting to certain people who didn't like the Russians keeping secrets.

People like Director Grimsdottir.

All of which meant that he was out here in the middle of the Sea of Okhotsk, hanging upside down in the control room of a research facility that had no right existing.

Of course, it was also a research facility that had pressure-activated floor trigger alarms tied into a multiply redundant lockdown system, not to mention armed guards who looked to have been drawn from the Delfin unit stationed at Russkyy Island. Leon had run into four of them already, had sent three over the side while stuffing the fourth's corpse into an equipment storage locker, but he had no desire to try his luck with a fifth.

"Could use a fifth of something," he muttered to himself as he lowered himself to the floor. Workstations covered one wall of the room; the other was dominated by a high window that looked down on a large test chamber half-filled by a large glass tank full of water. There was equipment down there as well, some of it submerged, some of it ominously left half-out of the tank.

Or, he realized, half-in.

Cursing under his breath, Leon extracted what looked like a USB key from his belt pouch and plugged it in to one of the workstations. Immediately it lit up like a Christmas tree, as lines of text scrolled frantically across several of the monitors. Leon studied them for a moment and decided he didn't like what he saw. It was clear now what the platform's real purpose was, and while a transmitter in his goggles sent a direct visual feed of everything he saw back to Third Echelon, some things you needed to say to another human being directly. That was especially true, he thought, when what you saw involved the potential to turn the entire West Coast into a giant bulls-eye.

"Control, this is Icefish. Do you read me?"

Static crackled in his ear for a moment, the sound of his transmission fighting its way through the miles and the storms between him and the nearest friendly listener. Outside, the weather was picking up. He could hear the heavy thud of the waves slamming against the sides of the rig like a man chopping wood with a dull axe. If he didn't get out of here soon, he realized, he wasn't getting out of here at all. The weather would keep him here, and the Russians would see to the rest. Feeling a little more urgency, he tried again. "Control? This is Icefish. Come in."

"I read you, Icefish." The voice on the other end of the line was cool, professional, and female.

"Director Grimsdottir. This is an honor." That wasn't exactly true. Having the Grim Reaper on the line with you meant two things, neither of which was an honor. It meant that what you were doing was top-line priority, and it meant that you were screwed.

"Spare me. What have you got?"

Leon coughed, softly. "Nothing on Snegurochka, but there's more than one kind of bad news. I'm uploading the data now, but it looks like this is a testing site for the new generation of Shkvals."

"Supercavitating torpedoes. Wonderful."

"It looks like they've solved the guidance problem." He checked the progress on the upload, then checked his divers' watch, then checked the upload again. 22%, steady progress. Another two minutes and he'd be done, and then it would be time to get the hell out of Dodge.

"That's going to make Annapolis really unhappy." She chuckled, an unpleasant sound. "Right. Leave a couple of obvious surprises, and then bury the real killer deep."

"You don't want me to wipe it?" Leon was surprised.

"No. Not yet. I want to be able to trigger that remotely when it's going to do the most damage. In the meantime, I want you to let them know they've been hit, let them know we're watching, let them know we're not going to just let them walk in the back door – and then we'll see what they do next."

He groaned. "Please tell me that whatever they do next, they'll do someplace warm."

"Why, Icefish. You sound like Sam." And with that, she cut the connection...........

And The new Downloadable Content will be here January.

The First Add-On will be: Operation: Anchorage, which lets players re-create a massive battle between American and Chinese forces in Alaska. Though details were thin, Bethesda said that this feat is accomplished via "military simulator," presumably something similar to the Matrix-meets-Mad Men virtual reality in the mission "Tranquility Lane."

The Second Will be: titled "The Pitt," and takes place in the raider city that sprung up from the ruins of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Players will be forced to side with a faction in an unnamed conflict plaguing the town, details about which were not released.

And finally The Third Add-On Will be: Broken Steel, has players join the benevolent, knightlike Brotherhood of Steel to track down the remnants of the nefarious patriotic pretenders known as The Enclave. It extends the main storyline beyond the climactic battle in the mission "Take It Back," after which the game ends. When queried, Bethesda declined to explain whether or not players will be able to use their last save prior to finishing "Take It Back," requiring them to re-finish the mission.......So there you have it, Its back to playing Fallout 3 !
