@moldyspud Why would you want to identify everything? If you're a witch, most likely you won't use two-handed swords, so you don't identify them. Later on in the game you'll have so many scrolls that there aren't enough items to identify.

The reason why you didn't continue is because it's not your type of game. But if it is, then you'll get hooked and agree with any praise that has been given to it.

Wish I invented the free-to-play model 10 years back and exploited it since then.

@Lhomity @bluntist Taking a book on holiday to another "region" doesn't all of a sudden become unreadable. It is ridiculous that it wasn't the case before.
That said, I have an Xbox 360 and currently reside in another region than where I bought it, this means I can never buy new games, because buying them through Live is usually much more expensive.

@Grenadeh @SkylabOne @finalkain @VarietyMage I have played it, but I have never owned it, mainly because I didn't think it was very good. I'll openly admit that nostalgia has something to do with it. After finishing FF 9 I went on with the rest of my life and will thus always remember FF 7 and 8 (And 6 also btw) as my personal best experiences with the series.

@finalkain @VarietyMage I will never forget Aeris' death, or any other scene of Final Fantasy 7, especially when it involved Cloud and Sephiroth. FF 8 had a tragic protagonist and a chilling nemesis as well, but after that the story-telling became seemingly less important.

I left the world of Final Fantasy for years after the release of FF 9, it didn't appeal to me anymore. Then I tried it again with FF 13, and was deeply disappointed.

Mismanagement is not a new thing at Square/Enix. Ever since the merging of these two great companies downhill it went. Buying Eidos didn't help, regardless of some good triple A games.

If you don't know how to find your target group, it doesn't matter how otherworldly the game is you produce. And as said before, a good story-teller could solve some problems too.

It's a pity that many people make the mistake by calling games like this old fashioned and nostalgic; this game is new and more fun than most games for which you require the newest graphic cards. If you only base you opinion on how a game looks, than obviously you haven't played this game.

I am currently residing in Indonesia, it is the world's fourth most populated country but it has an ancient internet connectivity still. Constant access to internet is a problem here and therefore I will not buy the Xbox One, and I won't be the only one.

Besides that, I know for a fact that many places in the world, believe it or not, still have a lousy internet connectivity, making it unpredictable if it's working when it should be working and therefore reason enough not to own an Xbox One because maybe you won't be able to play your single-player game, for which you may not be interested in any updates ever, but still have to be connected to the internet.

It is not only those in a submarine who don't have access to internet. I have an Xbox and a 360, but there will be not hesitation in jumping ship. Brand loyalty is the most important thing for Microsoft and they professionally ruin it. Not my problem.

@BWX232 When do people learn that fewer guns is a proven solution to fewer gun problems?
Where I am from it is difficult for people to get a license, and even then it is prohibited to keep most guns at home. You can only have a license to shoot at a range, for fun, educational purposes, or competition. The guns stay in a locker at the range.

Coincidentally a shooting did happen at my local shopping mall two years ago. Seven people died, I knew some of them. Still, it was the first public shooting in my country in decades. School shootings do not happen at all.
In the United States there have been four public shooting in the last three years alone, more than 50 people died, more than 100 injured. There have been 11 school shootings so far THIS YEAR, multiple people died and got injured.
So please, I would love to hear the reasons why tighter gun laws are not a solution?

@ChuckLinasty I just finished Grim Fandango, playing it again since its release in 1998. This is one of my favourite games and the graphics are crap by today's standards.

To me, gameplay is a decisive factor in choosing a game. Always. Graphics not. Never.

Maybe you have heard of a little game called Minecraft, probably featuring the worst graphics on 360, still it is immensely successful.
