I think we're all losing sight of the fact that E3 would be a lot worse without GameSpot. It isn't a question as to 'how good was the product'. It's a press event, so it is (and should) be more along the line of 'how good was the presentation'. Face it, without GameSpot to put all of this together for us (including the great podcast), we would learn about all of the coverage days after they took place.

And as far as the press conference quality goes... I was only really entertained by the Nintendo press conference. In all honesty, the zapper and the wheel look very entertaining. I was happy to see the change from the original zapper, because of the fact that very few FPS games these days require you to hold the gun with one hand. On that same note, Wii Fit does look interesting to me. It looks like something I would actually do every day until I was satisfied with my experience, much like Brain Age. I found the Sony press conference dreadful, as I expected to. If you look in my profile it shows I was only 'virtually there' for the M$ and Nintendo conferences, with good reason. I need more than 'flashy graphics' and 'new technology' out of my games. I need games, not paperweights. To finalize, I found that the Microsoft press conference was not as bad as it could have been. It is a little odd to find out that Peter Moore left Microsoft just days after he was the key speaker in their press conference, but there was one thing that made the whole thing interesting to me. And that's Games for Windows. In the past Microsoft has attempted to kill the PC community with their 'exclusive rights' and such, but now it seems like they are losing the battle. Gears of War is getting an incredible amount of content added for the PC, and not only that, Lost Planet's latest patch for the PC offers 20x more on the PC than the 360. I do not say this to be a hater, *cough 1.89b*, but this year's press conference offered more to the PC community than ever before, even if it was just a new version of GoW and some Disney games.

Brad Shoemaker said it best... "Publishers now routinely hold their own events to showcase their individual lineups, which works better for them because they don't compete with other publishers for headline space. Those events also work better for the media because there are fewer games to worry about at one time, allowing for more in-depth coverage."

They can remake it all they want... I wont be impressed until I see some games that are not just console ports. Its the whole reason I got rid of my PSP, but kept my DS.

This is stupid. Yea, I'll go out this summer in the nice weather and hot chicks. Maybe go to the beach. Just to bring my DS and Elite Beat Agents. And sit there as my life withers away before me. Gaming is the reason why many of us have PCs and consoles. Handhelds are great for busrides home and such, but not in the peak of your social life. Lol PSP.

Enough bickering. Chances are 95% of the people complaining about how it runs, HAVENT EVEN TRIED IT. Take it from someone running Windows Vista Ultimate. It runs completely fine. Even with Aero+Sidebar enabled.

I love Vista more than any previous Windows. I find it great for anything. And all of my games actually run better than they did on XP (weird, huh). I am happy they will continue releasing games for Vista for free for Ultimate users. I was suprised when I found myself able to download Hold 'Em Poker.
