Hello fellow geeks, gamers, gypsies, tramps and thieves Seeing as I am a family man, that recently got married and currently in the middle of moving house with a three year old son, it's been very difficult keeping up to date with the 'next gen' news. Not to mention that this will be the first console I purchase that is not solely for myself, I am wandering which is the preferred console for 'the family'? I currently have an Xbox 360 with a gamerscore of over 60,000 which I'm not keen on giving up but when I watched the first announcements for the new consoles I was pro PS4. However, now that kinect is no longer required and M$ have gone back on their restrictions, I am on the fence... and it's a pointy sharp one that I'm slowly getting impaled by. I don't know which to choose... Five years ago I would've just bought both... probably Xbox One first seeing as my gaming history is stored against my GT but now I need to make an educated decision to which to buy. I am hoping gamescom will make my decision easier but somehow I doubt it. Is there any fellow fathers/husbands out there that have made their decision with family in mind? Which are you going for and why? Peace RocketmaN

Life is difficult and we all carry baggage around. There is no fool proof way of getting over a girl especially if her image takes over your thoughts. I too split from a 4 year relationship and my thoughts were to head into town to find other girls to fool around with. Instead I started drinking heavily (btw not recommended) to the point that I was beginning to need a few beers every day. Just to settle my mind. It took a family intervention for me to see what I was actually doing to myself. The way I eventually managed to get over her was by getting in contact with her and arranging to meet up. I said that I had to return some of her stuff which was an excuse. I told her about my motives for meeting up and what I'd been up to in the past month and asked for some clarity. She told me that yes she loves me and yes she misses me but over time people change and that we wanted different things from life. I agreed with her but more importantly I understood what she was saying. She asked if she could at one point remain a friend and I told her that it wouldn't be possible as there is too much history between us. Having that last conversation completely cleared my head and thoughts of her and in fact ended up with more respect for her. If you have not discussed any of this with your real world friends then I suggest you do. If they put you down then you find a way to get back up. Also if you have not told this poor girl how you feel and I mean how you really feel then you have no chance with her at all. Why not ask her out? Take out to her favourite place? Order her favourite food? Discuss how you feel. If she's not game then you have your answer and some closure. If you find a way to be friends with her then you sir deserve a medal but it was too difficult for me. Is she forbidden fruit by any chance? You've got to man up. You are coming across as desperate, childish and a coward. Take control of your life man because if you don't you are going to burn out. If you are stuck for something to do when you are obsessing over this girl... play video games.

I wanted my tattoo for years before I got it, and I love it more every day that goes by.

A tattoo is something that can show the world something about your personality without having to speak to you. Unless it's something you've planned for years you'll end up regretting putting it on that part of your body, wishing to change the design, or wanting to remove it outright. Do not get a tattoo unless you're absolutely certain what and where you want it, and by who you want it done by.

Judging by your uncertainty, and that you're asking people on the internet to make a decision for you I'll say you shouldn't be getting one at all until you realise what baggage comes with inking your body.

A tattoo lasts forever, a bad one is something you'll have to live with for the rest of your life.

^^^^^^^^^^^ This is spot on! I recently got an Arkham tattoo the reason behind mine are because 1. I'm a gamer and absolutely love the Arkham games and 2. I'm a batman whore. I love the comics/cartoons/movies with some exceptions of course (bat nipples) https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/179781_425125340895503_2111978168_n.jpg Also my son who turns 3 this may has fallen in love with batman and he loves my tattoo. Mines isn't finished as I still have the inside of my arm to do but can't decide who to put in there. You must be 100% certain before getting inked because as people have said previously it's potentially for life and must relate to either your personality or interests.

I would offer to partner up for Judgment but I'm between houses at the moment and can't guarantee when I would be available to play.

[QUOTE="chaoscougar1"][QUOTE="4myAmuzumament"]

1=/=0. nothing doesn't exist.

nothing is a silly concept to believe in because something exists and because of that, nothing is not an option. the beginning of the universe is also non-existent because it has always been "1." zero isn't a real number because you cannont posses zero of something and in this infinite universe, there is no such thing as zero, just the absence of something in certain areas.

i want OT to dicsuss the concept of nothingness as well as discussing when my my nobel prize will come in the mail.

4myAmuzumament
Universe aint infinite It's expanding

explained earlier, by universe i mean the entity that is existence itself. the UNIVERSE is infinite.

Is that fact? Facts leave no room for possibilities and I believe there are a number of possibilities therefore you are not stating facts. UNIVERSE does not share the same meaning or definition of EXISTENCE. Universe = All matter and energy, including the earth, the galaxies, and the contents of intergalactic space, regarded as a whole. Existence = The fact or state of living or having objective reality.

It used to be like that for me with Halo 4. I was quite the average player in terms of k/d but my losses were higher than my wins. Playing smart with tactics and strategy are the way forward. Being able to adapt to other players play styles is also a bonus and a trait i think I'm picking up on. Now the wins are higher than losses with a positive k/d so I'm happy. K/D only matters in 1v1 game types. I doesn't belong in team games so I don't know why I've mentioned it.

If I don't get over a 90% completion mark on the first play through... I have failed. I then aim for the 100% Then replay on the hardest difficulty setting... MP and any other game types ie challenges or puzzles comes after.
