As anyone who I've met knows, I'm a gamer and not ashamed of it. About April or March, I was finally able to get my hands on a 360. Happy me. So I play it for a few months and everything's fine. Then comes June. I buy Call of Duty 2: Game of the Year Edition since I hadn't played the game before and it got great reviews. After a few hours of play, the 360 flashed a red-checkerboard on the screen, the froze with the pattern still displayed. This happened several times under various conditions before the circle of light turned triple red. "The Ring of Doom"
I call 1-800-MY-XBOX and tell them the problems, so they fill out a repair request. Then my box comes and I ship the faulty one out. I wait a few weeks and my replacement comes, yet again, happy me. I play the Halo 3 trailer to commemorate the event and.....it freezes. AGAIN. The only difference from last time is that there is no pattern flashing, nor has it developed the triple red light of doom. I'll probably have to have it replaced again and I really hope Microsoft is learning something from all this failure.
I feel like I wasted all my lucky running from grenades..........
