@korvus:

Everytime I try to flag my blog entries it resets as I switch to page 2 and 3, so my settings aren't being saved.

Seems like a fun sport to play but it doesn't translate well on TV.

It's really tense the whole way through and there's pretty much nonstop action.

I disagree with this. The tense action you speak off doesn't translate well on tv. The nonstop action is just as similar to soccer where nothing seems to be happening the majority of the game.

Soccer doesn't have nonstop action. Running around on a big field isn't quite up to pace with skating on a smaller arena with boards that prevent the puck from going out of play. The back and forth play is quick in hockey. And big hits and turnovers often take place in the neutral zone. You don't see that kind of continuous action in soccer.

I'm pretty sure a soccer player will disagree with you on the nonstop action part. Players moving around a lot in the game. But just like soccer, the nonstop action in hockey is flawed as a TV event.

And I think you on to something with you mention the turnovers. Its seems in both soccer/hockey the back in forth consist of the puck/soccer ball changing possession every 2 seconds.

I'd say action is more about battling with opponents than it is "moving around a lot." That's why I think hockey is different.

I took an English course on ethnic American literature recently. I'm a visible minority so I thought hey, what the hell. We read some pretty good authors and I'm glad I took it. Got perspectives from blacks, latinas, Japanese, and Indians, lots of female authors too. But I've gotta say, I still think America's best authors are the old white guys. Don DeLillo, Cormac McCarthy, Philip Roth. It's just the way it is sometimes.

Just watched the Flyers and Bruins play all the way to overtime and a shootout. Such a great game. Slick moves, goalies robbing shots left and right, big puck battles. Wish my hometown leafs would stop sucking and play like that...

Is there a way to delete our own blog posts and game reviews? I've got stuff on my profile from when I was 13 years old and I'd like to say sayonara to the bad writing of my past life.

I find that most troubles in the world tend to come from the role of the elites.

LOL. good. be sad.. I'm dumb.... Happy now. Anything to cheer you up. You can be my god and I'll live to please you. Your wish is my command!

Now stop being a ****ing tool and get over it!

Mikey132

I am trying to explain how the religious doctrine of abstaining from eating pork is actually practical and not arbitrary. You refuse to agree with this. You don't use any sort of reason in your arguments, all you have is your condescending tone towards people who chose to follow a religion. How ironic, that your methods are just as evangelical as many (but certainly not all) of the people who do follow a religion. For being just as zealous as religious bigots, you are actually the tool here.

Don't force your ideas on me tool.

I just went to my fridge for another beer and when I looked inside it I saw the Pork Chops I haven't cooked yet, I chose to cut up some Kolbassa earlier, more pork! And then I saw the Bacon I bought today which i will eat with eggs tomorrow and then this idea struck me. What if I could get a chicken and pig to mate and have a offspring so I could make bacon and eggs from just one animal? Do you understand how ****ing cool that would be?

You're trying to tell me that I'm a tool because I don't follow any religion and I eat pork..... you are the tool... enjoy it.. I'll pray for you... wait, I'm not religious, I don't pray.. Oh my... you're ****ed!

I'm not forcing any ideas. lol you're the one forcing ideas. You can't leave people with different beliefs and worldviews in peace. You have to show them how your ideas are supposedly better. I'm certainly not calling you a tool because you don't follow any religion and you eat pork. That would be too easy for you to make a witty comment about, wouldn't it? I'm calling you a tool because you're as zealous and narrow-minded as religious extremists. You've also gone ahead and made the assumption that I'm religious, which definitely indicates your zealous need to constantly reaffirm your own values even when they are not merited.
