Another year older, and another couple games to add to my collection!

I got Pokemon Diamond and Rogue Galaxy! Pokemon I more or less knew to expect (thanks, babe!), but Rogue Galaxy was a bit of a surprise! My mother-in-law, of all people, bought it for me. Turns out that when I recommended it to her for my brother-in-law for HIS birthday a few months back, she gathered that I was interested in it, too. Nice.

Aside from that, I got a coupla good gift cards (GameStop/EB and Target), The Complete Recordings of Robert Johnson, and some clothing, which is nice, as well. Apparently I also have a gift coming from my brother-in-law in California too, so I have that to look forward to!

!!SPOILER ALERT!!Also saw Pirates of the Caribbean 3 : At World's End on my birthday! I enjoyed it, but man was it L-O-N-G! I especially liked the approach they took with returning from Davy Jones' Locker, even though I felt the actual time spent in the Locker was a little overly long. I was glad to see that it looks as if Will Turner will not return, and with any luck, neither will Elizabeth Swan. I got a little sick of the back and forth in their relationship, and the 'wedding' in the middle of the battle on the deck of the ship was just awful, in my opinion. Contrived much?

Obviously, I'm new here...I'm also not especially great with blogs, so please - bear with me!

In any case, I came here from another board, mainly because I wanted a change, and also because I was tired of certain negative aspects of said board - but I don't even want to discuss it any further than that.

Little about me - that's not covered in the profile elsewhere - I'm primarily a Nintendo gamer these days, though I still have/play my PS2 from time to time, mainly for Guitar Hero and the Suikoden series, which my wife and I like to play together. I have a Wii and we have a total of five DSes in the house...one original(blue), and four lites(two white, one onyx, one coral) - I have two(onyx & white), my wife(white) has one, my 4.5 y/o daughter(coral) has one, and my stepdaughter(blue original) has one as well!

I've come to GS for news and such for a long time, but for some reason have never joined...I thought it was time to do just that.

Anyway - I'm looking forward to getting to know the folks here!
