Gears of War 2. Completed. Left 4 Dead coming up!

This is something that I am going to do in this blog. Post each time that I finish a game or am about to start playing one. Will post both my expectations and what I think off the game afterwards.

So, Gears of War 2. What can I say? A magnificent sequel to a magnificent Gears of War 1. This game was everything that I expected and more. It was really intense and I am really glad I picked it up for the small price of 20$. Took me around 8 hours or so but it was 8 hours filled with everything I can ask for. Now its time to start MP to get even more value out of my 20$.

Up now is Left 4 Dead for the PC. I dont really know what to expect but I have heard alot of good things about this game. So my expectations are that it will be fun to play but not more than that. Lets see how it goes.

NHL 94. Boxed!!!

Perhaps not the best quality of the box but this kicks ass. The most played game ever in my life (except Diablo2) is finally in my possesion again. And I wanted the box aswell just for memories. Im so happy. Now, lets hunt down Street Fighter 2 and a N64 console!

Did it.

Went back from the start of the chapter, and also upgraded my rig so I got some more HP points. Used the Line Gun and went through in a breeze only losing 1 bar of health when I managed to get to close to one monster. Now that thats done, here comes the Leviathan.

Getting stuck

Playing through Dead Space, which obv is a really really good game that has me stuck on it. Currently reached chapter 5 and what is the hardest room so far. I will have to play through the chapter, not that much of a hassle since its almost in the beginning, but still. Reason is taht I only have 1 bar of health left when entering this room, and what can I say, that just wont cut it :)

Done with Stranglehold

Managed to play thorugh it without to much energy. The last battle was kind of annoying tho since enemies kept appearing no matter how many times you took em out. No chance to get 1-1 vs one of the 2 bosses. I killed around 1400 enemies on a playthrough on Normal. Quite insane. I dont think I have to mention that it got kind of repetive at the end.

Now that im done with it, time for some Deep Space. And after that, maybe ... Dark Sector? Or Crysis? Or maybe Bioshock? Opinions.

Dead Space... Hope its good!

Got this game today from an online order. I just hope its good since I have been searching for a good horror game for the XBox to start playing after im done with Stranglehold (which should be soon, as I only have 2 chapters left). RE5 seems solid, but I havent played the other games so I am quite lost in that story, but maybe I dont have to know everything to get a grip on the game?

1% to lvl20

Wonder if I will reach it by tomorrow :)

Time to get a shoot at the lvl20 bug everyone is talking about. Lets see how long it takes to get past that one.

This is something...

... that I will later read and laugh at. I tried skirmish mode in Red Alert 3 for the first time a few minutes ago. I choosed Easy since I had almost no history with the campaign mode so im still a newb to this new game. Started out, did the usual turtle start, built up a nice offensive line and when I got to my enemies I got crushed!?! At easy. I usually do it on other games, including Red Alert 2 etc,,, and I win easily, but now I had to go on and do it in 3 tries. At easy.

Quite embarrasing but meh. Thats why I will read back at this blog post in a few days laughing.

Time for another go!

@ the crapper

Lately, I have found a thing superior to any magazine or book or the likes when going to the holy place that is the crapper aka toilet. I am now bringing my laptop each time to browse internet, choose whatever internet magazine i like and watching video reviews at gamestop. Obv this have also had the effect that my toilet is cleaner than ever. Mostly because this has meant goodbye to newspapers and magazines. Its not like anyone ever take them out of there except for that one big cleaning session each year :)

Other benefits of having laptop at toilet is:

* I dont have to paus my current gaming session

* I dont have to pay for magazines anymore and no more off them piling up either

* Watching videos beats reading any day

And many more...

Call of Duty 5. Campaign thoughts so far.

To start this post of, I have to say that I am really impressed so far. I just completed the tank mission in germany as Petrenko. So far, I have been in a ton of different roles and it feels like this game is really good in letting you try different things. The tank mission was fun and really nice, the sniper mission was also good.

The only thing that I can say I dont like so far is that you switch back and forth between playing as an American soldier assaulting Japan and as a Russion fighting germans. I'd like it more if these where two seperate campaings. You should either play the American campaing or the Russian, not both at the same time.

Would maybe be cool to have all 4 nations as campaing modes? One campaign for American, Germany, Japan and Russia. Like in Red Alert games. And make the campaigns interasct with each other in some way so if you first play as America, then switch to Japan, you would notice the same mission map but as a *** insted. Ahwell, just my thoughts.
