Baseball season is upon us and especially if you live in New York City that means Yankees and Mets.

But it also means baseball video games,well two anyways.MLB07:The Show by SONY or MLB2k7 by ESPN.

Last year's MLB2k7 was the worst sports game I had played in years...so you know why I'm being pretty cautious in picking it up again this year for the 360.

So far I'm still waiting for Gamespots review,I've read Gameinformer which they gave it a 8.5/10.Mostly saying it's "graphically" exciting,gameplay is much improved than last year's but there is still a few quirks.

I don't like quirks,I'm a big baseball fan and if I'm playing a baseball game I want to feel like I'm in the game.
I don't want to be thinking out loud,why the catcher fails to throw the ball back to the pitcher after each pitch.Yes.....that did happen in one game I owned....it irked me the whole season I played that game too.

I picked it up because I played 06 and was blown away and felt it was the safer choice for a serious baseball gamer like myself 8)

Didn't think they could top it,they kinda of did but than they dropped the "easy out" when it came to the graphics.Feels kind of outdated on the PS2,the PS3 hopefully the graphics will look outstanding but than the PS3 is "rumble-free" which sucks because now not only does it vibrate on the pitcher.

Now,if you're in a clutch situation,you come up to bat,there's two outs,bases loaded,your controller will vibrate like a freaking "heartbeat".
When you step into the batter's box and when the first pitch is thrown to you.I got two bagger and cleared the bases on the second pitch so can't tell you if the "heartbeat" continues.

The catcher moves around like his major league counterpart,which I think is the coolest addition to this and MLB2k7 game,no more stationary Posada.
Catcher also calls the pitches,don't like the pitch,nod it off and call your own.

I'm going to see what yall think about MLB2k7,before I get it.I don't want to get it just for the graphics and the gameplay isn't side by side with MLB07:The Show
