Real gamers dont argue over consoles,they just play games

For a lot of us gaming is a hobby we love and spend lots of time and money on year after year.Gaming is suppose to be a way that we can all get away from the real world,relax and have fun.But from the start of this generation that all changed.Its impossible to hide that many of us including myself have gotten caught up in the whole console war rage and from looking at the SW threads it also seems like damn near all of us GS members have taken defense to our console of choice whether it be Playstation,Xbox,or PC.It almost seems like the fun in gaming has been killed because of how we act.

Now dont get me wrong, iv had loads of fun this generation because of the games but the social side of gaming has been killed.I remember last generation my friends and i would talk about the games we all wanted and we would all have a good time just chatting.But now i cant even have a decent conversation with my friends about games without them saying a shady remark about the Xbox 360.And ofcourse ill come back at them with a shady remark about the playstation.But for all of us this is the case.As soon as something negative is said about their console or something positive is said about the other, alarm bells ring and they fire into action!

fanboys do the stupidest things

Iv tooken this upon myself to point out a couple of things of how we all screwed up this generation.And now without a further ado...

1.Graphics

Ahh probably the biggest topic when it comes down to console wars,graphics.Now i dont even know why this is a problem for most of you guys.The Xbox 360 and PS3s graphics are damn near the same.And if there is a difference its small.We all have to remember that graphics dont make the game.

2.Sales

I can never remember sales every being used as bullet points in defence of games or consoles.Games and systems seem to be judged on thier sales more than anything.The only people who should be worried about game console sales are Sony,Nintendo,and Microsoft.If your not apart of any of those 3 companies and your worrying about console sales you need to take a break from gaming......a long break.Sales dont reflect quality.

We all made this happen,rather than just playing games and having fun everything has to be a big contest.We lost gaming to the people who dont want to see there favorite system get better,they just want to see your favorite system fail.And the worst part of all of this is is that this is how every gaming generation will be from now on.
