Very disappointing to read all the poor reviews for this game, it appears the camera issues (not being able to rotate the camera in any direction you wish) is a game-breaking issue. I could overlook the resemblance to other mascot platformers and even the lack of challenges, but not being able to adjust the camera to see where you are going to jump, is a deal-breaker and will prevent a lot of folks (myself included) from buying this title. Perhaps when it hits bargain bin pricing and can be had for like $10 it might be worth picking up.
I've never played Cave Story, but it looks fun, however I can get it for the 3ds on the eShop for $10, so....is the Switch version worth 3 times the price?
What's really frustrating is that Sony has a vast library of PS3, PS2, PS1 and portable PSP/PS Vita games in their library that were/are considered AAA hits when they were released that wouldn't cost them a nickle to make available. They'd be MUCH more positively received than rolling out a bunch of B and C rate Indy games that no one wants.
@forsaken_fool: If that's true I stand corrected, but at 6am CST (4am your time) they were sold out online, as were Target and Walmart wasn't even showing them on their website, simply "coming soon". Amazon sold out within seconds after they opened up orders on Friday afternoon as well. Bottom line is they were not generally available to buy in-store or on-line, and likely won't be until black Friday (assuming you want to stand in line for 2 hours) I personally am not desperate to have one, but I find this whole situation ridiculous. Nintendo knew months ago that they had a hit on their hands, yet like the Wii, and the Amiibos, failed to supply retailers with adequate quantities to satisfy demand.
@khelandros: Thats the problem... Nintendo knew these units were hot and we're getting great reviews four months ago. They knew demand would be great so why didn't they have enough for launch day?
My local Target only got 14 and our Gamestop had 16
