I have seen many smash bros rip offs (mainly on GC) and some have been fun to play. this could be good or bad

it would be nice to use for walktroughs codes and other info while in game or places like meepo and other web chat stuff

it may not increase performance on a ps3 but you will see a major increase with a PC
