I got this yesterday and I was BUMMED. I was just getting back into Final Fantasy VII, which was an AWESOME surprise the other day, and also a couple of missions away from beating InFamous. I hear the machine beep 3 times, then the power cuts off. After that it's exactly what happened in the video link at the beginning of this post. I'm thinking "DAMN, I have a bunch games to play right now and a few coming up that I plan on buying. What am I to do, call Sony?"

I did. They gave me some B.S. about it and said they'd send a box for me to send it away and get fixed (or refurbished).

"It will cost $150.00 and take a month to get it back and all the data will be lost." That's what Sony tech support basically said. Not those exact words, but that was the gist of it.

F THAT...

I can't wait that long! That's ridiculous! THATS CRAZY. Lucky for me a buddy of mine told me to just check Craigslist for "PS3 Repair". I did, and found this PS3 WIZARD.

This guy fixed my PS3 in an HOUR! For $90! Didn't lose ANY DATA AT ALL! The thing is quiet as a mouse and works like the day I bought it! If I would have went with Sony I would have been screwed for a MONTH, and would have lost all of my Pictures, Music, Movies, and Saves!

Screw Sony and their customer service. I'm lucky I lived near a guy who does this obviously ALL the time. If the same unfortunate thing happens to you (and I hope it doesn't) look for a Repair person or shop that fixes consoles, especially on craigslist. It's waaay better than waiting for Sony to fix your PS3.

Not only was Infamous kickass, but I just picked up Advent Children on Blu-Ray today! On my way home, my buddy calls me up and tells me that Final Fantasy VII is coming to the PSN Store today. I had to get it immediately! Of course I had to wait until about 7 o'clock for the store to update, so I popped in the Advent Children Blu-Ray till then.

Man oh man, does this movie kick some major ass. Let me tell you right now, the DVD of Advent Children does not do the movie justice. GO OUT AND PICK UP THE BLU-RAY, ADVENT CHILDREN COMPLETE. It explains soooo much more of the story and the actions scenes are visually perfect. I have never seen better computer animation in my LIFE. If you have a PS3, grab this Blu-Ray immediately! THIS IS A MUST OWN. It has the best speical features too, like the history of all of the Final Fantasy games, and various trailers for Advent Children, as well as gameplay footage from Final Fantasy XIII.

Well, that wraps up my "FFVII Day" blog. What an awesome day to be a Final Fantasy VII fan with a PS3!!!

This InFamous Demo is so F'n RAD. This main character "Cole" is a total BADASS. I can't stop playing it. I wan't to play the whole game right now!

Now I have to wait until the 26th?!? DAMN!

Beat the hell outta RE5. Playing Retro games like A Link to the Past and watching alot of "The Angry Video Game Nerd" online at Cinemassacre.com.

Really looking forward to InFamous and Prototype. Those are the only two games on my plate right now. In about 3 weeks, I'll be back on my PS3 all the time...

I have been buying soooo many games lately. In the last 4 months I must have bought over a dozen games. That's about 3 a month. On the Wii and PS3 mostly. In the last month I must have achieved about 100 trophies. I even earned a Platinum the other day, which blew my mind, because it's the first one I've got since the Trophy system came out. Flower on the PS3 is blowing my mind, with it's psychedelic visuals and stunning presentation. House of the Dead:Overkill is making me remember how cool Light gun games were at the Arcade. Now I can do even radder things with the Wii Remote as a gun in the comfort of my own home without spending countless quarters. Next up is Killzone 2 on Friday. Then Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. Then RE5 next month. The forecast for video games is looking very good.

FINALLY! I just beat Mirrors Edge and I have to say, it rocked. I don't know why it got such a low score on this site. I guess its just in the Eye of the Beholder. Before that I beat Dead Space. Not only was it scary fun, but it was actually alot better than I thought it was going to be. BEFORE THAT I rocked the hell outta Bioshock. That was one of the COOLEST games I've played in a long time!Everything about it was AMAZING!!

Now I'm just waiting for Chrono Trigger DS! Man, that was and still is my FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME!!!!! I can't believe all the AWESOME games out right now!

I just bought NO MORE HEROES and it once again reminded me how damn cool the Wii console really is. I picked up a classic controller because I couldn't play Super Mario RPG with a damn Gamecube controller so after I picked that up I bought a bunch of games on the Nintendo Shop Channel for the Virtual Console. I picked up old school classics like Super Mario Bros. (1985) and Super Mario Bros 3 (1991). After I got a taste, I became obsessed with gettin games I haven't played in YEARS. I picked up Kid Chameleon, a game I loved as a kid when it came out in 92, then I got The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for SNES. The nostalgia factor is incredible.

I also picked up some Component Cables for the Wii. It looks ALOT better in 480p HD than AV cables. I recommendyou pick these up if you have an HDTV and a Wii.

Just dropping cash into this little Wii craze until some good PS3 games come out. I can't wait for LittleBigPlanet and BIOSHOCK. Once those come out, I'll probably put down the Wii for awhile. Then I'll have to grab CHRONO TRIGGER for the DS, which is my favorite game of ALL TIME, when it drops on Nov 21.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PS3 AND THE WII BABY:shock:

I'm playing on a 32 Inch Sony Bravia and I've never seen a better pictue in my LIFE. The PS3 Menu is displayed in 1080i and all the games are displayed in 720p. The picture is so vivid.

Anything bigger is stupid unless it's for a big living room or you have stupid ultra party time money to blow. I bought it at Circuit City for $800. Twice as much money as my 80 GIG B/C PS3 I got last Dec.. Like I said, do yourself a favor and get some kind of High Definition for your PS3 setup if you do not have one! YOU ARE MISSING OUT IF YOUR NOT PLAYING IN HD!

Watch downloaded movies, play and listen to downloaded mp3's both that are uploaded to the PS3 with USB memory sticks and SD cards, and watch beautiful visuals while you do it, play the best games around, alone, or with friends across the country, or older games (GTA SA, FFXII) for PS2 and original Playstation Games (or atleast I can on mine), or surf the damn INTERNET, ALL IN HIGH DEFINITION! What more could a gamer want? This machine is PERFECT.

So now that I have my 80G PS3, I had to get all the highest rated games. The first two I bought when I got the system were Assassins Creed and Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. Great, great start. Talk about eye openers. My eyes stung after playing for a while beacuse I wasn't blinking; I couldn't get over the awesome next-gen graphics. About one week later I picked up the Orange Box, and I was so stoked! Finally, I was able to play all the Half Life games I missed out on! That was good for a few weeks, but I needed more. There's not ALOT of good games out there right now, but within the next 3 or 4 months, some of the best games on the horizon will be coming out and everyone will get them.

Right now I have Assassins Creed, Uncharted, Motorstorm, Stranglehold, Resistance: Fall of Man, Heavenly Sword, The Orange Box, Burnout Paradise, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and The Darkness, which in my hones opinion are the best games available on the PS3 today.

Condemned II in 1 week, Hot Shots Golf 4 the next week, and DARK SECTOR the week after that. Another month after that the biggie, GTA4 will be out. That oughta keep me occupied until MGS4 comes out in June. AHHH, its gonna be a good year for the PS3.
