If you read his post, then you would have caught the little bit about how he was asked for his opinion by the teacher. If a teacher doesn't want to hear a student's honest opinion, then maybe he or she shouldn't ask for it.

I had a very similiar situation in high school. While covering the works of Shakespeare, the English teacher asked me for my opinion of Shakespeare. I replied, "Shakespeare was an untalanted; plagiarising hack that deserves niether respect or admiration for the literary garbage that he produced". I also added, "If we truly wanted to study literary greatness, then we would be reading the works of Cervantez, instead".

The English teacher was furious. She kicked me out of her class, and swpre that she would never allow me back. Since the class was a required course, however, my father presented the school superintendent with an ultimatum: reinstate my son or face legal action.

The teacher was forced to eat crow and accept me into her class. I made an 'A'.

The moral of the story is: don't ask for an opinion unless you are prepared to accept an honest answer.

you mean a teacher got mad at you for insulting their class? Do you know how much they work to make a lesson plan for you each day? You should stop whining about your class being too easy and instead be gratefull your in it.

I had no freedom of speech at my highschool either (my case was something much more serious than saying something sarcastic) so I quit for online education, and now I can say what I please and take any course I wish, if they're too easy for me I have the option to advance to a harder course at any time.XilePrincess

Oh they said that as an excuse but she wasn't even talking or looking at me and the lesson was over so i just started talking to my friend and she got annoyed!

I didn't say it to them when I felt like it, they asked me a question so I gave them a honest answer

Right last Monday I got in trouble for saying my opinion about the science cla.ss I said the cla.ss was too basic for me, Then they said that I think I know everything. After that load of nonsense I had to see the head-teacher and apparently what I said was offensive and I didn't show enthusiasm well how can I show enthusiasm if the lesson is about the human skeleton and the teacher points to the skull and asks the cla.ss "Does anyone know what part of the body this is?" hmm... i think its the leg. Then the head-teacher said that I have to say a positive comment about the cla.ss which is taking my freedom of speech away and if she didn't want a BAD comment about the cla.ss she should not have asked for my opinion in the first place. Oh and another thing your know the saying what goes around comes around well, the head-teacher's name is Mrs Hunter
