@Vaildez: I’ll only listen to reviewers who gave Sword and Shield a 13/10.

I’ve been a defender of Kallie’s for a long time, and while I think this is a good review with good points, I don’t think it’s a fair one, even if she is limited to the copy of the game she’s given.

I’m starting to think that reviewing games like this before the reviewer has had a chance to fully play it, and play it when the game is actually something resembling done, is just bad editorial practice.

I also think her fixation on posters belies an intent that is not appropriate for a professional. If posters affected someone’s playthrough that much, it’s a personal problem. The insistence on a dystopia having a representational and inoffensive portrayal of trans people is not simply an illogical one, it’s also problematic for a reviewer who should at least understand the basic context for it, or at least realize when they are singling our trans people for this critique. At no point does she take issue with other exploitative posters, just the ones with trans people. That’s just strange. So is she offended by seeing trans people on these posters, or does she think it’s only unacceptable even in fiction to portray them in similarly exploitative ways as CIS people?

Either way is bizarre, and counter to what she seems to be trying to say here.

Anyway, I usually like Kallie’s reviews, even on difficult games like TLOU2, but I thought the good aspects of this review were very overshadowed by the not so great analysis.

@VGjunkie87: There’s just no comparison between an ACG review and a (lol) Edmond Tran review.

Edmond Tran is what mom says we have at home when someone says they want an ACG review.

Edmond Tran gave this game 1 point higher than Outer Worlds on Switch. A game notorious for significant issues, not to mention it’s a fun but very flawed game even at its best.

Let that sink in for a second.

Gamespot has become a laughing stock. Really glad I don’t spend much time here any more, and no wonder.

@xantufrog: I'm just curious to see how the game would review now compared to when it launched.

There will never be another review of the game on PC or PS4, but Xbone offers a chance to see how it would fare if the game released like this 2 years ago.

Maybe instead of clutching your delicate pearls you could open your eyes and actually read the comment next time instead of demonstrating for the world you're an overreactive child.

@martimusprime: I feel like anyone reading Gamespot should know the difference between an E3 trailer and a trailer made from the updates to a game that has been out for 2 years.

Every update trailer has not only been exactly what was in the update, but didn't even include most of the changes.

@Battalis: That's not at all how the game is now, but you seem intent on wanting to believe it, so you deserve to miss out.
