1. Some players buy new and used. If these players decide not to purchase the next-gen consoles, new game revenue will decrease.

2. Players that do buy new won't be able to recover any money by selling the used game, leading to fewer new purchases by these players.

3. Fewer players experiencing the game will reduce hype and word-of-mouth advertising.
