Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora
by DannyWolt on Comments
heh it seems i've been away from Gamespot for a while...
as i don't have much to say about games atm (Guild Wars has been keeping me busy on this front), i'll delve into anime, my other biggest obsession.
recently whle searching for some DVD rips of Code Geass, i stumbled upon Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora, or Looking Up at the Half-Moon. the character design seemed the type that i liked and the story appeared to be a sad romance, so i gave it a try, and it delivered. it's rather short at six episodes, but manages to pack a moving story about a girl with a terminal heart condition. i wasn't extremely impressed with the first episode, but the rest were great, and the story kept me guessing as to how it would end. Hanbun no Tsuki ended up in my Top 10 and i highly recommend it to any romance fan.

Star Ocean 3 BT's & TGS 2006
by DannyWolt on Comments
It's been a long time since I last posted anything. I haven't been playing games quite as much, but I have undertaken something of a challenge.
I'm aiming to collect all 300 battle trophies in Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. I'm approaching the halfway point and would be a lot further except that my memory card went bad a couple months ago.
I'm really excited about Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. It looks like a great game, especially since I place a high priority on deep gameplay. Hopefully I can pick it up soon.
Up till now I've stuck with Sony / Nintendo only, but after seeing all the great games announced for the 360 at TGS, I think I'll need to reconsider. Seems like some good RPGs will be coming to it.
Shirokishi Monogatari (White Knight) for the PS3 looks to have potential as well. Seems that I'll need to get all three next-gen consoles eventually.

Completing games... completely!
by DannyWolt on Comments
I've recently found two games that I'm obsessed with finishing completely.
Radiata Stories: I'm currently working on finishing every quest, gathering every armor item, and completing my friends list on both story paths. I guess I'm just rather addicted to this game right now. Time spent so far: 40 hours
Xenosaga Episode I: At first I was just planning on beating this game and moving on to the second, but somewhere along the way I decided to stat max some of my characters. And wow is it time-consuming. Time spent: 50 hours (and another 50+ to go)
So anyway, I'm wondering how many other gamers enjoy pouring hours into a game to complete it... completely.

I've been anticipating this game for months, and it didn't let me down. A good battle system that has plenty of customization, an entertaining main character, an intriguing story with plenty of humor: it all works together to create an excellent game.
Backpacking...

Ok I'm not cut out for backpacking. I'm left trying to figure out why I paid $75 to carry a heavy pack 7.5 miles uphill on a trail in bad condition...

Coded Arms & Mobile Suit Gundam: Fed vs Zeon
by DannyWolt on Comments
I finally found a Gundam game at one of the stores in my area. The only stores here have the worst selection of games; I thought I'd have to buy one off the internet...
Anyway I also bought Coded Arms and decided that FPS are not for me. The only one I've ever enjoyed is Star Wars Battlefront. Anyway I'll probably end up selling Coded Arms on eBay...
Stupid stores in my area
by DannyWolt on Comments
Ok I'm totally frustrated with the stores around where I live. I'm reading my email newsletters from Gamespot and find out about the game Riviera: The Promised Land. It looks like a great portable game whith excellent quality. So I try to find it. And no one is selling it! It's been out for two weeks which is long enough to get it in stock and short enough that it should still be around. But no, I guess it isn't a big name game so who in the area would want it anyways?!?
I guess it means another trip to gamestop.com or ebgames.com...
