Guild Wars 2 - Great game

At first I was really frustrated with Guild Wars 2. This online gaming stuff is crazy to me. First link your account with Guild Wars original (I've had since 2005). Then after registration you have to confirm you email address. Successfull, then you get to try to logon. Enter ACCOUNT NAME and PASSWORD .... up generates a message for Now once again "E-mail authentication". So you have to verify your e-mail address each and every logon.

Update: I have been "Successful" in Varifing my E-mail account to be able to log on and acctualy get on and play. So I've been playing Guild Wars 2 it has been fun. Even with the e-mail Varification thing. As long as I can logon and play. And if it keep accounts from getting hacked I can handle it. Hope everyone can play now. It is a great game. Game on.

Am I missing something.? Why this day and age cannot you plug in any kind of headphone and chat on any game especially a game like this. Let me know if I'm missing something. I hate to type and game at the same time. But would love to interact just a bit more with my headphone mic. I love the game by the way. Love the exploring Vistas and mountain and cave mazes, never been keen on jumping, I don't like to fall (no fun in that). Was surprised I liked the World vs. World that was a little new to me. Even though I get killed like every 30 min's or so by a raid of parties. But been playing lots of the game and like completing a sectio of the map. Pirate in me enjoys finding hidden treasures. Loot and more loot that is me. Having fun.

Son got me a KINDLE FIRE

I never had a laptop, only PC, PS3, DS, and PSP. I was looking at getting something portable like the new Asus Transformer Prime. Did not have the money at the time. Then my son just got me a Kindle Fire 7" as a surprise, the perfect size. Kindle Fire is a pretty cool TECH TOY. I'm surprise at all that it does, I would not have purchased one myself thinking it was basically for books, but I'm loving it. My first day with it I loaded all sorts of stuff and only used about $20.00 for downloads. Amazon has sample of books you can look at. I was surprised it even had audio but could be louder (I'm an old lady), but it works and is better with headphones especially the DEADSPACE GAME.
I have a ton of APP games on it now, look for the Kindle Fire version APPS:
DEADSPACE, MINECRAFT SKIN, PLANTS VS ZOMBIES, SACRED ODYSSEY, MAJESTY, BACKSTAB, SPIDER-MAN, C.H.A.O.S., FAST FIVE THE MOVIE GAME, SOME TOM CLANCY GAMES, PINBALL HD, SHOPPERS PARADISE, DUNGEON HUNTER 2, EDGE, RIPETIDE, SIMCITY, ASPHALT RACE GAME (this game is sweet, you turn the Kindle for driving and turbo is right tap and brake/draft is left tap) AND A FREE CHESS GAME. One book Stephen Kings Mile 81 and a bunch of Sample books (mostly about Computers I already own most of them but it would be nice to look at them on here)

Here are some other great APPS:

TV.COM FOR MY NCIS ADDICTION FREE

NETFLIX FOR MOVIES FEE

PANDORA FOR FREE

JAMIE OLIVER got on sale for 3 dollars

SHOPPERS PARADISE I picked up on APP of the DAY and was a surprising good game. You can always uninstall if you don't like the APP.

MSNBC FREE I look at every morning and night.

LOTS OF GOOD GAMES BY GAMELOFT (you can wait til they go on sale –like Deadspace is 7 dollars will for about a week they had it on sale for 1 dollar) Amazon also has a free APP of the DAY and some are really good.

FACEBOOK

Maximum PC (for some reason had to pay for it, but not bad 12.00 a year) Note: put it in your Favorites if you want to keep longer then 6 months.

Only complaint is needing more space (note I'm a PC person we have to have hard drive, ouh, ouh) I've only had a month and almost have maxed out Kindle space. You get the cloud includedAPPS, but some games need alot ofspace. I feel I will have to delete and re-install sooner or later.

It alsohas E-Mail. This is pretty wild, I had no idea it could do all this. This keep me busy when I'm not at my computer or when I have to go on the run somewhere. Thanks a million son, I fell in love with the Kindle Fire.

Dead Nation (Short but Sweet)

Just finished Dead Nation - it is a super fun game. A must have. If you are even thinking about getting this go ahead and you will not regret it. Loved the atmosphere, game play, upgrades, short story. It was great.

Grandchildren love the Move, it was a hit.

My Son and his family made it thought the snow. Got the move controller in time from Amazon. The Grandchildren had a blast with "The Fight Lights Out". It keep them busy since 3 kids had to stay inside most the time, they got that energy out. Grandma shed a few pounds playing also. They also played a whole day worth of paint ball outside, they looked like they had the chicken pox when it was over. We all had a great visit, was hard to see them go home.

Rigs, Consoles - What are you holding? I just love to drool over big rigs.

I like to play most all games - so much so it gets me in trouble staying up late at night. haha Got to get up early to make the money for the bills and more games. Just wish I had unlimited time to play, so I could play all my games. I'm a game jumper, I will jump from game to game. Like variety I guess. Been having fun with inFamous PS3, Sacred, Torchlight on the PC, and Broken Sword on the DS.

Big love for FallOut 3, Civilization III, and Need for Speed Most Wanted, Sims I,II,III, Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid 4, Tropico - some of my favorite.

"Game On" Everyone

What is your best game and why? What is your Spice of Life?

What do they say"variety is the spice of life". There are some many good games, I haven't had the time to play them all. I hope to include others as my gaming continues. But there are those you want to play for life. Here are some of mine.

1. FallOut 3
2. Civilization III and IV (I love the strategy games)
3. Need for Speed Most Wanted (also so many race games example Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box)
4.Oblivion (GotY Edition)
5.The Sims I, II, III
6. Sid Meier's Pirates!
7. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (not a replay for me, but I loved it because I think it had a little something for gamer-variety)
8. Metal Gear Solid 4 (also not a replay for me but I loved it) - I'm not even much of a shooter fan.
9. Guild Wars
10. Tropico: Mucho Macho Edition (a bit older games but I still love to play)

Maybe you can help me find another great game that I haven't looked at. I like a variety like I said, so I discount nothing.

What is your favorite game, or games and why?

Why computers are not keeping up with the gaming industry?

As long as Consumers keep buying 5 year old technology at premium prices, why would the PC makers make anything better without gouging your eyes out. I blame the uneducated comsumers for letting PC makers fool you into thinking you are getting a good deal, on what is really a watered down PC. This is how we got in touble with the housing market also. Americans will buy anything for any price as long as it is presented in a pretty package. Learn to be vigilant people; demand the best, for the best price. It's so bad, I'm thinking of building my own PC next time. I have a 2002 Gateway Pentium 4 2.4 GHz, 2.39GHz 2.00GB of RAM. I put in a 6200 Ge-Force not long ago. I'm sure I'm going to get some ribbing about my rig. But not much on the market is better than what I have now. Just here in 2008 has it become common place to have 2.00 GB of RAM. Why is it taking so long, the technology and need has been here for a long time. Then we would all be able to enjoy our games off the shelf. Except for the few exceptions where the game makers mess up. But we have Gamespot to 411 us on that before we buy.
