One new game, one new copy of a broken game.
by Bloodbath_87 on Comments
Last week I ordered two games from Amazon, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith for about $35 (new), and a new copy of Rock Band for about $40 (also new). Guitar Hero: Aerosmith is Guitar Hero, so of course i'll like it. I wouldn't say that i'm a fan of Aerosmith, I really don't listen to them, but I suppose that they're decent enough to listen to in the game. The hammer ons and pulls offs feel weird compared to GH 3, and the hit window is kind of tight. It feels like an expansion really, but that's fine because of what I payed for it. Rock Band died on me last week. Not surprising considering how much I played it. There were some small scratches on the disc and it kept giving me a DRE. I was able to get about 4 hours of playing the songs from the Roadrunner Pack with my friend in Norway though before it died, so that's good. This disc should last me a while, and Rock Band 2 is coming out soon. Also, anyone who complains about paying $60 for a game should really wait a few months and watch Amazon. You can get such great deals on new games there, it's crazy.
5.5, ouch...
by Bloodbath_87 on Comments
Too Human was just reviewed here, and it got a 5.5, which puts it among the worst rated retail games on the 360. Critical response on other sites isn't too good either. Of course, this won't stop me from buying it. I just feel kind of bad for the guys who spent 10 years of their lives making this game and now have to watch it be **** on by most reviewers. Just think about that...10 years. What were you doing 10 years ago? They were making this game. There are games that took 5 months to make which were received better critically.
My latest trip to the hospital.
by Bloodbath_87 on Comments
Last Monday I went back to the hospital to see the kidney specialist again. If you read my super long blog from July 29 you should know about my kidney stones and all that. When I got into the waiting room of his office the place was packed, only two seats left in the whole place. This made me feel like I would be there for a while. I sat back and watched the TV that was on in the corner, and waited for about 45 minutes before being called back, so I didn't wait as long as I thought I would have to. The talk with the doctor was pretty short, but it ended with him telling me that I haven't done anything to cause the stones, and that I would have to start taking pills to prevent them from coming back, and that I would probably have to take them for the rest of my life. That's not a big deal, since i've been taking pills everyday for a few years now. These things are like horse pills though, they're huge. I have to take two of them twice a day, and the second one is usually pretty hard to get down for some reason. I really don't know why I have trouble with them, since I take as many as 4 pills at a time on most nights. Anyway, if I keep taking these it should stop more kidney stones from developing, which is great. I have another appointment next month, for a check up.
I changed some stuff.

With the changes Gamespot made, I decided to change some stuff as well. My 'theme' on this site is now The Darkness, which is one of my favorite games ever. I've been planning on doing this for a while, but like everything else, I put it off.
Looks like they finally did it.

If you're reading this right now you've already seen the changes that the site has went through. I blogged about this on July 30th I still feel the same, more or less. I think it will just take a while to get used to. It does actually feel kind of like Giant Bomb, which is what a lot of people were saying before. It feels kind of slow, but i'm not sure if it's the site or just my computer/internet, since i've been having some trouble today. I've been trying to keep up with the blogs that appear in my tracked blogs section and the ones from people who comment on my blog, but i've fallen back a bit. I'll try to get through them today though. :)
The Mole

The Mole ended last night, and I was right (pretty much) all along on who I thought it was, Craig. The big lovable guy had me thinking he was the mole since about week 2. I also predicted who would be eliminated almost every time this season, which makes me feel happy. Overall, it was a great season, and I really hope that it comes back again. I've pretty much always been a fan of the show, and I had thought it was gone for good before this season was announced, since it's been a while since the last one. I would say it really is the smartest reality show on TV, and one of the best. Apparently the ratings weren't very good this time around, but maybe that won't stop them from bringing it back again.
Rock Band DLC will be EPIC this week.

Aesthetics of Hate - Machine Head Clouds Over California - DevilDriver Constant Motion - Dream Theater My Curse - Killswitch Engage Runnin' Wild - Airbourne Sleepwalker - Megadeth Yes, yes, yes, i'll be buying them all!
Conquest in Bad Company
by Bloodbath_87 on Comments
EA promised to release Conquest for free "after release", and now after more than a month, it's out. I'm glad they released it, but I wish it had come out earlier since i'm kind of bored of the game now. I played it a bit the other morning and it's better than Gold Rush, and the way they've changed the maps around is pretty cool. That's all I really have to say about that, I guess it's a short blog so i'll add that I finally hit level 20 on here. I guess I would have been here earlier if I stayed on my other account, actually, I would probably be pretty far past it by now.
