Blocking people, your thoughts and how to do it!

Firstly, you need to grab a copy of adblockplus for your browser. As far as I know it works on FireFox and Chrome (what I use) there might be a way to get somethin similar working on Opera, but I wouldn't know how. =s

All you need to do is take this code: gamespot.com##[class*="'author':'USERNAME"] > *

Replace the "username" part with the exact username of the person you want to ignore (capitalization counts) and add it as a custom filter.

It's rather easy to do in firefox (pretty sure you need only click on the little stop sign to find the option) but with Chrome it's a little trickier.

You actually need to click on the wrench > click options > extensions > adblock plus options > add your own filter tab.

From there you can paste the code as you normally would in firefox. Pretty easy right?

Quick demonstration of me removing a couple of users known for posting these really large walls of text few people dare to read.

Thoughts?

Time's are a' changing

Firstly I'd like to thank everyone who voted for my dog.
I don't actually think anyone did, but if you did THANK YOU =D

People always ask me, Bacon; what do you think of the possible changes to the TOU?
Well I'm glad you all asked. Personally, I think the changes can be a very good thing for the community.

When I post here, I find myself wording things in such a way that I wouldn't IRL.
It's not that I'm one of those whiners about moderations (I rarely get them believe it or not) it's that I feel I would be able to have more fun if I didn't have to change my posting s*le as much.

I flat-out refuse to use :P every time I joke. When I do joke around, I'm either quite hyper or quite calm and mellow.
It's the calm and mellow jokes that get me in trouble from time to time, along with being honest to people.

When someone's trying to rile me up or whatever, I can't just say 'stop being a dick'

But I'd like to.

DeathSmiles

Anyone play/hear this game?
It's a sice scroller with a "gothic lolita" art s t yle.
That basically means it features a bunch of teenagers dressed as maids. O.o

It's bloody hard, but most of the achievements seem doable. I love me some achievement points and a good challenge, so I've been loving this game.

Know any similar games for the 360? I'd love to have 'em so long as they don't go for over $100 like Espeludga II :P

Sonic 4, Wii

Am... I the only one who really dislikes this game?

I adored the DS versions of Sonic. But, this new version gives me a headache.
I was stuck at the part where you have to shoot yourself into a dozen different barrels, kinda like the old stages in Donkey Kong Country, but good god everything needed to be aligned so perfectly and precisely I ended up spending a good 15 minutes getting past one section of a stage.

Too much trial and error! =[

Castlevania Harmony of despair (so far) *spoilers*

Anyone who knows about my taste in videogames will know I have a thing for 2D games in general. Perhaps it stems from growin gup in the 90's, where almost everything was 2D, up until a certain point... anyways, the point is this; I was stoked for the new castlevania, and so far it's been a minor let-down.

The first two stages have been pretty good, offering some challenge and replay value. But the third one left a lot to be desired. To kill the boss, all I did was equip a brass knuckle type weapon with Soma, and kill the boss.... by attacking his knee. Yes, his knee. The boss in question has feet larger than the characters you get to play as, and he is beatable by striking his weak kneecaps.
I was really taken back by this, as he seems so menacing. But.. wow, death by kneecap strike. =/

Sure, it's just one boss, but the game apparently only has around 6 stages. That means one 6th of the game feels wasted.
How are teh other parts? well, so far they've been pretty fun. I've been a castlevania fan for some time now, and this feels like a welcome change of pace from the DS editions. Sure, there are flaws, and some things seem a little weak, but the game has been pretty enjoyable overall.

You can't level up your guys as much as you could in the other one, but there is still some customizing to be done.
So far it seems like gamespot rating is pretty accurate. I haven't read their actual review yet, since I already knew I was going to buy it the minute I saw that it scored over a 6. I'll probably read it after I've beaten the game though, to see how my experience compares to theirs.

Vegetarianism and you, the viewer.

I've recently switched from pescetarian to vegetarian, or more specifically "lacto-ovo-vegetarian"... so many different names and labels. :P
I've been working on it for some time now, slowly taking out one type of meat at a time. First beef, then pork, pultry and fish.

Clearly, I need me some protein. And tofu seems to be a common choice. So I've been eating that a bit more than I used to. Made an egg omelette today with added Tofu and spinach. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it all added up to around 300 calories, and around 30 grams of protein with a glass of milk. =D

Anyone else on a specialized diet of any kind, have any favorite vegetarian dishes, etc?

Very first entry

I've never kept a blog, so I expect this one to be very boring.:P but quite frankly I'm tired of seeing a blank page that says practically nothing when I click on my username.

What do people generally blog about anyways? is there something special people like hearing about?
