Last month, the Vatican and CIA made it into the headlines when the Wikipedia Scanner revealed that computers from these two organizations were used to edit certain entries in the online encyclopedia. Now, Sony has joined the infamous list with a pathetic attempt to trash Halo 3. The Wikipedia Scanner has revealed that a computer with the ip address 217.18.23.2 edited the entry of Halo 3 back in April, adding the following line:

Halo 3, the third game in the best-selling Xbox game franchise Halo, is a highly anticipated first-person shooter video game under development by Bungie Studios for the Xbox 360 and is expected to "set a new high water mark" for next-generation games, although it wont look any better than Halo 2.

A query on the IP address shows it belongs to the scee.com domain name, which is the official site for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

Oh Sony, what a shame!

you have a point, I'll try finding some GS multiplayer impressions and update the post.

However, what do you think of the other impressions?

for HS after reading the impression and wacthing the video review at ign id say u are about right

mass effect is a long huge game on a scale even grander than knights of the old republic so like a good long bookits going to get better as it unfolds

they did hold a private press @ a hotel but non of us got 2 see that

With that, our all-too-brief Halo 3 single-player demo ended, and the lights were brought up. Nearly everyone in attendance agreed that this was the footage that Microsoft should have closed the press conference with, as it surely would have impressed just about everyone in attendance. The game is definitely shaping up nicely, and the single-player campaign looks much better than the multiplayer. We'll be bringing you more information on Halo 3 later this afternoon, as we'll be checking out some different elements during our E3 meeting with Microsoft.

microsoft could havescoreda lot higher with this but they had made 1 huge mistake too much talking about Halo not enogh actually Halo

they started very strong imo with the live band and then the rock band demostration but in between everthing they showed they started talking bout Halo Halo this and Halo that but when it came down to the end all they had for us was a trailer:|

peter moore even said it himself we'll be able to play Halo3 11 weeks from now. only 11 weeks and all we get was a trailer? come onms why.

if u knew bungie wasnt gonna deliver the goods for E3 u shouldn't have made their game the centerpiece of ur conference.
