Resistance: Fall of Man
I purchased this game during a lull in PS3 releases and now I wish I had done this at launch, a very solid game.
Resistance: Fall of Man is a very unique game and was a brilliant title for SONY to launch with - if only i had bought it at lanuch and not earlier this year when i had a few quid to spare! The story for this game ... Read Full Review

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Although not a huge move forward from the first game, definately a satisfying sequel which has improved many parts.
I was always going to buy Rainbow Six Vegas 2 after completing the first game and being left with one of those thoroughly annoying cliff-hanger endings. Although the story was as mediocre as the first, it did provide suf... Read Full Review

Killzone 2
Killzone 2 is the best in series, with graphics only possible on the PS3. However, the story and gameplay is quite dull.
Killzone 2 is the first Killzone game I have bought and I thoroughly enjoyed romping through it. There are a huge number of positives about this game and minimal negatives, so I will start by wading through the good poin... Read Full Review

Warhawk (w/Headset)
Warhawk has been given the next-gen treatment and is now an amazing MMO game with a very reasonable price tag.
Warhawk was a title I hadn't heard of until it was released on the Playstation Network where I decided to buy it as it was the only PS3 game I had seen with a price half that of others. What a smart decision. The game is... Read Full Review

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Uncharted is the best story mode only game I have ever played, with brilliant voice acting and movie quality cutscenes.
Before purchasing this title I was a little doubtful whether I had made the right decision - this type of game is not usually my cup of tea. How wrong I was! I cannot think of a better, more engaging story of any game I ... Read Full Review

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
I can honestly not think of anything at all bad to say about this title - how can an average WWII series turn into this?
Call of Duty 4. Brilliant. I would just leave this review at that but I thought I should tell prospective buyers a bit about it although I think every man and his dog will have this title by now! First off, the sto... Read Full Review

Medal of Honor: Airborne
The series has definately improved with this outing but it is no where near the brilliance of the Call of Duty franchise
I pre-ordered this game not so long before its relsease date but as with most 2007 PS3 titles it was delayed! This got me probably more excited than I should have been in anticipation of this title as the delay does not ... Read Full Review

Colin McRae: DiRT
This is by fat the best in the Colin McRae series with the inclusion of many different vehicles and racing modes.<br />
When pre-ordering this title I could tell that it was going to be a great game as it was part of the Colin McRae franchise which has never let me down. However, I didn't think it was possible for the series to get as goo... Read Full Review

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
I was looking forward to playing this game upon reading various reviews but now I am confused as to what everyone likes.
GRAW 2 was another title I was eagerly anticipating in 2007 but yet again I was let down. I thought the story was quite good but the multiplayer was, in a word, dreadful. First, the story. Most of the missions are ver... Read Full Review

Assassin's Creed
Overall, the game is stunning but a few major flaws prevent it from living up to the pre-launch build up.
Assassin's Creed was one of the most hyped-up games of 2007 and in some cases this was justified. However, there are a number of dissappointing aspects to the game. Firstly, the plot overall is very engaging and I cou... Read Full Review

The Burnout series was beginning to dry-up, but Paradise has breathed life back into it and revolutionised the genre.
I usually don't purchase driving/racing games because I tend to find them very repetitive and dull. However, Burnout Paradise feels completely fresh and is a game I would recommend to anyone. The environment in which ra... Read Full Review

Resistance 2
Insomniac have improved a lot on Resistance: FOM, adding new weapons and enemies, keeping the series fresh and exciting.
Resistance 2 is the perfect example of how to make a sequel to an already great game. Resistance: Fall of Man, a fantastic launch title for the PS3, was always going to be hard for Insomniac to improve upon, but they hav... Read Full Review

Call of Duty: World at War
This new COD set in WWII is a step back in timeline for the series, but is definately not a step back in quality of game
When I first heard that the amazing Call of Duty series was returning to a World War II setting, I was both sceptical and excited. I was sceptical as, after playing Treyarch's COD3, I did not think they would make as goo... Read Full Review

Mirror's Edge
Mirror's Edge is an extremely fresh game and has single handedly created a new genre of game, which is very fun to play.
Since viewing the very first trailer for Mirror's Edge, I realised that this game was going to be something special. Upon receiving the game a few days ago and playing it to completion, I now know I was not wrong. When ... Read Full Review

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (w/Guitar)
Guitar Hero III is the best in the series, with updated graphics for the PS3 and a varied, wide-ranging song list.
This review is slightly late as I suddenly realised today that I never reviewed this game. Guitar Hero World Tour may have been released, but Guitar Hero II is still the superior incarnation of the series. The immitatio... Read Full Review

BioShock
Bioshock brings the 50s-era city of Rapture to life in this amazing story-driven game with brilliant visuals and audio.

Buzz! Quiz TV
The PS3 is where Buzz really shines. It is extremely addictive and fun to play thanks to the Playstation Network. Great!

Battlefield: Bad Company
Battlefield Bad Company revolutionises the FPS genre with amazing destructability in both Single and Multiplayer modes.

Fight Night Round 3
A great game for a while, but it is now gathering dust on my shelves.

Call of Duty 3
This is still my favourite game to play on the PS3 since launch, the story is quite good, but the online play is amazing
Before the PS3 was launched in Europe, I was unsure whether or not to purchase this title - particulary as it meant another £40 on top of the £600 I had spent pre-ordering the hardware and various peripherals... Read Full Review
