Patapon is a one-of-a-kind, but there's a reason it is.

Patapon. Weird name, I know. There's not much of a stroy involved here. You are the Almighty, and the patapons (that's the little eye things) expect you to lead them to Earthend, so they they can find IT. The story isn't that great, and there's really isn't any 'I can't beleive that just happened, plot-twist' moments. So over all, the story is nothing like Mass Effect's, and people won't be buying for that reason.

The gameplay is where Patapon really stands out. You don't actually play as a patapon. You just get an over-head view of the action. There is a constant bum-bum-bum-bum going on, and that's the rythmm. You are supposed to tab the four face buttons in that rythmm, in different orders to give commands to your patapon. Although revolutionary, it does get boring entering the same commands over and over again.

The graphics are, well, good I guess. They're good, but they're partly trying to be bad, seeing as it goes for a cartoony stlye. Otherwise, they're pretty good.

Overall, Patapon is pretty good, with it's only fault being that you have to do things over and over again. Be it the commands or the hunts, or the boss, levels, you'll eventually get board of it. But until then, Patapon is great.
