Are you a Ninja.....can you kick ass and take names like many Ninja or will you fall to the ground and fail?
(not to be mixed up with the ryu from the street fighter games....no you get a kick to the face for even thinking that). As Ryu Hayabusa you must go out on a quest given to you by your missing father.
This quest takes you to america where you meet up with the archaeologist Dr. Smith. He tells you about the legend of the two statues. Which where hidden by Ryu's father and the doctor and that they have the power to end the world if they are united.
This game has a way of getting in your mind because of one reason....It is very very hard...I have known friends to have thrown copys of this game out of the window in pure rage only to bring it back in and try and complete the level they where stuck on.
On your travels in this game you will have to use Ninja Arts or as the game would call them Ninpo. To use them you would have to collect power ups and unleash them at the right time.
So if being a ninja is you thing then Ninja Gaiden may well be the retro game for you.
