A 3-D exploration shooting game at it's Prime....

User Rating: 9.7 | Metroid Prime GC
This game is absolutely fun. You get to play as samus aran and you first play on a frigate. In the frigate samus will meet meta ridly and just before it blows up, samus loses all here equipment. Once she loses all her equipment, she will need to escape the base before it blows up. Before she leaves though, she see's meta ridly again but this time, it flew toward a planet. Samus quickly hops in her ship and gives chase. When she lands on tallon IV, she will need to look for her lost equipment. The game will take you at least one week to finish without a game guide.

Gameplay - I give the gameplay a nine because it was something that is new to me. Though awkward that you have a auto-aim system, you should get used to it over time.

Graphics - Every thing in this game spell beautiful. Everything so alive. Retro studios out done themselves with this game. The game run at a silky smooth framerate. It sometimes slowdown though when too mch stuff is happening on screen, but that is rarely the case.

Sound - In 5.1 surround sound, you will actually feel like your in the game. Another good job by retro studios. The music fit's the mood of every section of the game. And it is wise to keep the game up so you can make sure know flying pirates attack you or metroids for that matter.

Value - This game will keep you going from time to time. But once you complete the game more than three times, you may not want to play no more because of all the backtracking.

Overrall - I would have given the game a ten if it weren't for the steep learning curve. But once you get the hang of it, it will be second nature. This game is a must have for any metroid fan. But if you don't like a lot of back tracking, you may want to overlook this one.
