I avoided this game for a long time, fearing it would be another rpg disappointment. They all look so pretty... But I was quickly drawn in once I started playing. I enjoyed the battle interface. More along the lines of older Final Fantasy games or Kingdom Hearts. But the best part to me was the gripping story line that did not allow me to put the game down. If I had one complaint, it would actually be that the game was too long, but that's not much of a complaint. I did drop out of society for about two weeks, hitting the couch every day as soon as I got out of work and not leaving it until I had to force myself to go to bed. But you CAN'T stop until you get to a save point! (Possibly another complaint, but not unlike other console games) I was surprised to see GameSpot only gave this a 7.5, I am giving it a 10 as one of the best games I have ever played. I absolutely loved it! P.S. Take the time to read the dreams, at least in the beginning. If story line is important to you, you would be lost if you don't take the time to read them. It fills in a lot about the characters' backgrounds and shows you a lot about their motivations and why they are who they are.
