A basic shooter that gets it's 007 point across.

User Rating: 8.5 | James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire GC
A neat little shooter. James bond is back and ready for the Gamecube. This FPS has you vent crawling, shooting and sniping. Thats basically as deep as it gets. While doing those three things you will be also grabbing "evil plans" and "Downloading evil information" and all that jazz.

The weapons that 007 used in this game show a real diversion. These weapons inculde

ΦDesert Eagles
ΦP2Ks
ΦRevolvers
ΦShotguns
ΦBullpups
ΦPS100
ΦMRL22
ΦGolden guns
ΦGolden Grenades
ΦSub Mac guns
ΦRocket Launchers
ΦSniper Rifles
ΦAnd of course, mines

Trip mines, Prox. mines, ect. This game is a portal to the old games like Doom and Timesplitters, where your character never ran out of space or strength to hold many weapons. Easliy put, it's a bloody good time.

The enemies and AI is where this game shows it's ugly side. They are stupid as hell asd easliy forget about alarms and go right back to patrolling. This is seen in many games...but this is the only one where they actually shoot at you until the alarm stops sounding. Then as soon as it does, they stop shooting at you. Just like that.

The enemies do have some diversity usually using diffirent weapons. The big tough guys run up with the shotguns, while the slender, officer types lie in wait and snipe at you.

The levels do have some good diversity about them. But the lack of levels means you'll be going back through past ones to obtain a better rank by having better accuratcy, killing more guys, faster time, and "Bond Moves"

Bond moves consist of going through an open window using the grapple hook, or blowing crap up causing massive explosiong killing several guards. All which are optional.

The other thing that stops the FPS repetiveness a bit are the driving missions. That have you chasing after someone, or manning a turret as someone else drive while bad guys chase you. And it does a good job of breaking up the montomy.

The only gripe I had while playing was the voices in game. The bad guys repeatly saying the same words over and over again, until the alarm stops sounding and they look like total idiots to their comrades. ex... "You can't hide Bond!" "You can't hide Bond!" "You can't hide Bond!"

When the game ends, it leaves you wanting for more, yet you will most likely end up playing the levels over again. Or playing multiplayer. Or both.

So grab this cheap game ( $6.99 ) before it becomes too outdated.
