Not the best licensed game ever, but a terrific renter.
The core gameplay is very fun. Combat comes easily, and the environmental puzzles are just challenging enough to keep you interested. The controls all work well, too.
The graphics are one place where this game definately falls short. The PS2 version's models look bad, backgrounds and scenery are pixeled and undetailed, and the game struggles to keep a steady frame rate.
The sound, for the most part, is excellent with the familiar Indy theme from the movies, and a very good actor for Dr. Jones. He manages an excellent Harrison Ford. However, then there's the matter of Mei Ying. I assume she's supposed to sound Chinese, but I can't tell if the forced accent is Chinese, British, or someone being strangled.
The game's levels don't take long to finish and there arent that many. And with relatively few incentives to play agin, this game will probably not last you all that long.
Bottom line, Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb is a decent action-adventure game with fun gameplay and a great Harrison Ford imitiation. If you loved the movies, you owe it to yourself to rent this.
