Review #1 ~ Heavenly Sword for PS3.

The Heavenly Sword, a divine weapon of the gods. No mortal can wield it without paying the ultimate price. The clan protects the sword from those who lust for its power. Their prophecy spoke of a boy, born to wield the sword and save the world from tyranny. The truth, a girl was born, Nariko; now she is the only thing that stands between the clan and extinction.. Can she move beyond revenge and reach redemption before the sword destroys her?

You take the main character of Nariko in Heavenly Sword, a beautiful warrior set amongst an ancient clan. Your clan's faith and objective is simple - to protect the sword at all costs, preventing tyranny globally. Nonetheless, their is always an enemy. Lord Bohan, supreme ruler of the opposing faction, wishes to destroy the clan and take which he intends is his - the Heavenly Sword. You must protect the sword.

With that said, I've just completed the game. Words can't describe the high definition perspective of this game, let alone the stunning environment and clever power based combinations. You will never see a woman move like Nariko! The cut scenes are gorgeous, let alone the sub menu after each chapter. If your still wondering as to what the game is like, picture a female version of God of War.

Character performances directed by and starring Andy Serkis (Popularly known as Gollom from Lord of the Rings). He takes part as the crude yet comical Lord Bohan in the game. One thing that striked me from Heavenly Sword was it's ability to provide a strong and gripping storyline whilst adding in humour (Believe me, at some points you have to laugh). All enemies have their own style of behaviour and cleverly enhance their difficulty based on your style of play (They get used to the combinations you use most and how you move).

Keeping it relatively short and sweet, this is an unmissable game. Anybody with a keen like to Hack 'n Slash games must try this if they haven't already. A definite keeper for me and am looking forward to going through it again in the new unlocked mode.

Thanks for reading.
