A great farming sim, but still a few issues.

User Rating: 8.4 | Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life GC
Ok, Harvest Moon AWL is really a cool game, and I'll elaborate below. But before I go on, I'm going to say this, It's not for everyone, even some HM fan's could be a little let down.

Gameplay:
The gameplay is great, easy to control, nice camera view, everything works fine in this department, not much to say other then that, I give it a 10.

Graphics:
The graphic's are "cute" anime styled graphics which I found to suit this game very well, great scenery, character model's etc etc. Another 10 from me.

Sound:
Overall the sound was pretty nice, though I think the music was a little annoying sometimes. I am glad they give you a record to change your farm music, because the default theme bugged me quite a bit.

Value:
Here's where I hit the game on good and bad. The gameplay is very good, easy all that good stuff. But, one thing I didn't like to much. The day's seem to go by very slow, work progress can take a while, when all I really want to do is get a wife, a kid and some profit. The game goes by in chapter's, the first chapter is year 1, your goal is to find a wife, then have a kid. Chapter 2 lasts for 2 year's, your kid is an annoying little baby (not really) and the year's go slower now that your curious to see how he act's as he gets older. This game doesn't seem to have the village festival content as the other game had, ex. egg hunt, swimming contest, dog races etc etc. Just some cut scenes here and there. The good though, the event's that do come up make you want to keep playing into the game, the side games can be fun, and making friend's with the villager's seems to be a fun task somehow... You can go fishing, go dig up some bones and sell em, goto the bar to have a drink, just several thing's to kill a long day's work in the game. It's hard to list the good from the bad, because the bad is easily explainable, but the good has to be played to truly understand. It really is a great game other then the fact it takes a while to get thing's done.

Overall I'd advise renting it first, if you love it buy it, if you dislike it, take it back. I persionally enjoy playing it from time to time, not perfect, but a good time killer.
