More than a game...a cult!

Halo has to be one of the best shooters I have ever played...and I have played alot! Firstly, the graphics and sounds are truly superb...very science fiction based, it is set way in the future where space travel and Alien encounters are a common thing. Secondly, the storyline is totally epic and once you get involved, that's it, you are hooked! It has a very believeable storyline (although you have to remember that you are in the future) and the actual game is very long but not impossible to finish. I finished it and it took months (although I would just play a little in my spare time.) There are times where you think you are fighting the final battle or completing the final mission...and then something else happens, plot twists everywhere! The variety of enemies you face and the selection of weapons are vast...with realistic results (i.e...a sniper rifle shot to the head will kill instantly while a pistol to the body has to be fired a few times.) There are vehicles (both ground and air) and the gameplay is excellent! I could write about Halo for ages so all I have to say is that if you are reading this to review before buying...don't even bother renting it for a test first, just go out and buy it!
