Halo 2 is the sequel to the sciene fiction masterpiece halo. Even with it's big shoes to fill it prospers.
The story. The master chief is back! and he is having to face the covenant again. And that's really all I can tell you. except this time you also follow the adventure of an alien covenant called arbiter.
The gameplay. What every fps should be about. guns, intense action, heart adrenaline fights, and vehicles. Halo 2 doesn't disappoint at all. With all the vehicles, and different varieties of guns you wont be saying to yourself that this game is dull and not intense. The guns pack a huge punch and every shot goes in. Enemies are so smart that using different tactics will be very difficult especially on the higher levels of diffuculty.The enemy AI will knock you out of your flanking positions, they will seek out anywhere where you are, staying in one place the whole time will end up getting your self getting killed really fast. Guns always pack a punch, and with the ability to dual weild just about and weapon with the variety of guns is just plain out superb, and what makes them superb is probably just the whole science fiction set and earth set. Action lives up to the word action with the fast paced movement of run gun take cover throw a grenade and high tale it out of there are the enemy will kill you. The vehicles also play a major role with new ones and old ones, the fastness and total power of them make you the worthy advisory at times and sometimes make yo the one who needs the help. on the down side. The campaign is somewhat short and doesn't offer to much of a reason to play over again unless your like me and redo the levels over, and over, and over, again. that's it on the gameplay.
The graphics. Are superb and awesome the beautiful glossary effect adds on to the science fiction feel, The character textures are awesome and awe inspiring this is truly a science fiction epic. the hard cased armor reflection is just awesome and how the light literally reflects off the armor. The framerate is great and since everything loads at the beginning of the game never is there any loading during the game witch offer great length and impression to the game. The biggest problem is, if you turn reel fast you'll end up seeing the levels still trying to load up. but that doesn't really hurt the experience not at all. Well, that's probably the biggest problem graphics wise.
The sound. I cant begin to state how just perfect and flawless the music is, and not just the music but the voice overs. The music is perfectly orchretrated and fits awe to well with the game. The halo theme is back and cooler then even but that's just cause it's back. the adventurous music that is put out on some levels always cues in at the exactly right time. The voice overs are top notch and probably just some of the best ever. very very very talented people. The sound is flawless and is probably some of the best, and The sound of the guns makes it even better.
The value. With The God like multiplayer and amazing online multiplayer, with the amount of match types that are available and all of them just being amazing. what's there to say.
Bottom line. This game is near perfect and is a worthy successor and will probably be remembered for a long time.
